Mega Mania
0 AD in its current stage have given most factions a fair share of siege gear, but some factions or future factions have less or none of these units. To solve the trouble of unable to attack walls, i suggest 0 AD team to develop a special abilities option for some specific unit or create new construction abilities like building siege rampart or other special option in the future release. oshron
it could also simply be that some civs have units along the lines of a given unit type but, as far as appearances go, they are something else entirely. for example, a civ could have a sapper unit which is comprised of a bunch of infantrymen under a mobile shelter and armed with shovels, pickaxes, etc., which is functionally identical to a ram. a difference from conventional rams could be that it has a faster attack rate and does smaller damage for each attack, but it would still do the same amount of damage as a regular ram in the same amount of time. similarly, civilizations that didn't have horsemen (such as a hypothetical Amerindian faction) could have runner-type infantry which are as fast (or nearly as fast) as cavalry and fill the same role
greenknight32
Undermining walls was a well-known tactic. Realistically, it would take much more time than a ram attack, but when it finally had its effect a section of wall would collapse completely. Mega Mania
Don't forget siege ladders.
oshron
siege ladders would require entirely new functions; they aren't really similar to any of the siege weapons already in the game. they'd probably work best as unique siege engines for a civ which definitely used them in actual history. Lion.Kanzen
Oshron, can be very weak, easy for destroy for all melee troops. But that can be in second part because the units over walls are in this release.
sanderd17
Siege ladders will probably require units on walls, or visibly garrisoned units, and that isn't planned for the release of Part I, but if someone can make it happen, I think the team will be more than happy to include it.
