Deicide4u
As per title, which civilization is the most dangerous in the hands of an AI? I've noticed Persians can be tough later in the game when they start training chariots and elephants. Which civilizations gave you the most trouble? Seleucids
This varies from map to map, but generally the civs which have strong early game are the most dangerous. Since the AI also does 0 micro, the unit dps is the dominating factor here, which means we are looking at a civ which can combine jav + swords. This makes Romans the top of the list. Spartans and Gauls are also strong. Normally the AI shouldn't be allowed to reach late game, but if it does, the civ with the best champions win. Elephant civs are probably the best? Then Macedonians and Iberians have the best champion lineup.

Even when it does reach it, it still won't train champions right away. Civs with a lot of mercenary options will spam them, and train champions late and in low numbers. Elephant civs will prioritize them at first, then switch to other champions. They train and use them as siege weapons.
Player of 0AD
They are all weak ;-)
Perzival12
Hands down the Roman’s are THE hardest ai civ. With super powerful champions and a lot of siege machines, they can overwhelm my armies in a few minutes.

They were strong in earlier alphas. Mercenary civilizations are also bad in the hands of the AI because it spams them even though they can't gather. Persians don't take advantage of their strong cavalry. I'd say Han are now the strongest. Edited August 22 by Deicide4u

Here's the same unit in Alpha 9 (actor view is awesome): 22 minutes ago, Classic-Burger said: Rome in AoE is designed for infantry + siegecraft Same as in 0 A.D. They were even introduced as such.
