I quite like your idea as well Mythos_Ruler. I've never played a game with such a system before, so it would be quite interesting to see it in game.

Looks a bit like Warcraft but even more cartoony, couldn't play something that looks like something kids watch on TV on sunday mornings.

Not bad, not sure about the music tho, and it's a bit too fast imo.

Excuse me but if indeed hoplites used overhand grip, and practised it throughout their lives, wouldn't they kinda get used to using their spears in that way. So really how can you say ''in practise'' it's easier to kill someone with underarm grip if you don't have someone with years and years of experience in using overhand grip to test it properly?

I'd say fancy graphics is the last thing a developer should worry about, gameplay and having fun is much more importany in my opinion.

I have to agree that PC ports of console games are pretty poor, i've never been much into console gaming since the dumbed down and simplified nature of console games in general. One of the best examples i know is Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising: i don't even want to call it operation flashpoint because at best it's only a shadow of the original game, last i checked they didn't even have proper mod support or dedicated servers, fine example of how console games can ruin potentially awesome PC games in my opinion.

Hello, i am emperor77. My real name is Andreas. I'm from Estonia and i am 18 years old. I am a highschool student at the moment. Pondering if i should study history in future. I've been interested with ancient times for as long as i can remember, particularly in ancient Rome. I am also interested in RTS games and i have played Age of Empires (1,2,3), Rise and Fall, Empire Earth 1,2, Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology and many more. I've been lurking around on this forum for about a year now, haven't made an account until now. But i must say i was thoroughly excited when i found out about this game (can't remember how anymore, was a while back), i simply couldn't believe someone would make an RTS game covering my favourite period for free. Since then i have been checking 0 A.D. webpage and this forum daily for any news.

My dream would be something similar to Rise and Fall: Civilizations at war (don't know if you have heard of it). In my opinion it features one of the best ship systems i've seen in a traditional RTS game.
