Hmmm... not bad.....
-
(er, freaks)
LOL!
-
Yeah, I was exaggerating at 30-40.
-
Well I mean massed onagers. I mean, sure, the Longbows can take care of maybe 1/3 - 1/2 of them, but I mean, if you have 100 longbows, your opponent can have atleast like 50 or so onagers, and the rest of the onagers will kill the longbows. But, yeah, allied cavalry can help.
-
Yeah I know, I was kidding. And why did you post that twice?

@Dnas - No, in AOM, it looks like (and they are) firing arrows, not stones.
@Mythos_Ruler - Yeah, but too bad onagers kill them (fairly) easily
-
No way! How can arrows do damage to buildings? Longbows are cool cause they have so much range when FU.
-
Well there must be a whole lot (a WHOLE lot) of modifications. I mean, stratagies work for like only 1-2 civs.
-
Well the bonuses are very important. For example, Vikings are the best "water civ", but they suck on land (except that free wheelbarrow/handcart bonus - that rocks). Huns are excellent arabia map players or Deathmatch, but they can't do any wonder race. Huns, Mongols, Goths, Meso civs, etc (the "faster" paced civs) are good flushers, but civs like Koreans, Teutons, Turks, etc (the "slower" civs) are pretty poor flushers and are better in michi maps or something.
I think it is a mistake to look at the tech tree only for deciding civs - the bonuses are what matter.

Is it going to affect the game (like, for example, snow makes units lose hp or speed or something cause it is cold, rain makes it slow). I would recommend it.
-
Agh! Why does it matterz0rz!!?!?!11!111

So, anyway... played Tamerlane?
EDIT: Whoops never realized this was a double post. SRY!!!
-
Whoops my bad, a shot every 5 seconds... okay crossbows take a while then.
-
Last Legion isn't out yet.... And I'm recommneding Tamerlane.... so.. yeah....
-
Have you played Tamerlane Prince of Destruction? It's a campaign with six missions and one scenario that is sort of like a cinematic. In the scenario, you play as Tamerlane (the last of the Khans, though he bore no descent from Genghis Khan) killing stuff. (It also has some Monty Python quotes ) You can get it here (It's the fifth down under Top Rated by Heavengame's vistors, with ID 354.... If you don't have TC, get the sixth one down with ID 272)

It is really fun. I personally like the fourth mission best (I think it's the fourth.... it's the RPG where you attack Delhi)
Enjoy!

Okay maybe more like one minute (atleast I think it was one minute in the Hundred Years War for the French crossbows.... English longbows cut that to 30 [EDIT: Ermm... 5 seconds then] secs I think)
-
Yeah I prefer 2D too, but they aren't going to make it 2D.
In that time it took also very long to reload guns. And with long I really mean looooooooooooooooooooong. But not longer than it takes to "reload" a bow and arrow (it takes about a full minute to two minutes. No joke... I think!) and ES makes that almost instant.
-
I think 14 has to be "start the game already!!!" (A tradition).. Don't know if it's been posted before.
-
The problem with guns is that an army will be pure-gun (if it is historically accurate). Even though guns that time were no where near as good as now, they still pwned everything else. (They outranged bow + arrows like 1000:1 ) Armys would be so boring pure guns.

Hey!!!!!1!

-
Can't you make it impossible?
-
So why do you put "W*rd" instead of Word?
This board can't do whispers can it?
