Well, I don't think it makes much sense to have a Linux version because very, very, very few people use Linux, and you can only play online with those. AOM's Mac version is basically useless - it has no patches (= more bugs, but actually probably the same or more balance
) and no chocolate version, and no one plays the Mac version anyway. So Linux will just be the worse Mac version.I just hope they don't make the guns too powerfull.Unless they are going to make this game historically inaccurate (which would suck so badly it wouldn't be funny), guns will have to be awesome. Even in the time period, they killed everything else. Sure, other weapons were used, but I mean, they aren't nearly as powerful as guns, even then. They could make guns (far) more expensive, though. But IMO, historical inaccuracy is far worse than "uncoolness".

Yeah, I suppose you could have the banana in the game.... I like your taunts FlipBizcut, especially the villager ones (I like - "Look at that, He actually sent his Villagers to fight"... would be good on AOM if someone does a Ra villie rush

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longbow the longbow was invented by the Wales in 633 AD killing Offwid, the son of Edward, king of Northumbria. The English used the longbow approximaltely 500 or so years later.

I don't think you can prevent gold screws - randomness is never fair. Unless you are going make every seed map by hand, of course, it is impossible to my knowledge.

I don't like maps with resource screws, eg, Argh!!! The enemy has 5 gold piles in his town and I only have 1!!!! Of course, you could have like 5 gold piles and the enemy could only have 1... Then gold screws are good...

No way! First off, Microsoft is a software and LOTR is a movie... and book too but whatever. They've got nothing to do with each other. Second,... I suppose you're right about my third improvement.... Maybe Sauron should have stolen it from Frodo or something.... or a dwarf could have hurt him or something.... But the LOTR movies are good, just my improvements would help it so much!!

Yay, I like the Hobbit better than LOTR. I can't believe you don't like the drinking game! It pwned! I liked the Witch King pwning Gandalf. I mean, the Witch King is way cooler than Gandalf, so it should pwn him. I think some changes they should have made are
- The Witch King should have killed Gandalf
- Saruman should have killed everyone around him when they talked (except maybe Gandalf so he can be killed by the Witch King)
- Frodo should have kept the ring and killed Sam + Gollum
- All of Middle Earth should have been destroyed... except dwarves.... yeah... and not all elves should be girls!!

Really, most flame wars are more sophisticated. They usually use valid arguments.
