Well not really, because the provinces are called North-Holland and South-Holland, so you're not completly right. But the name Holland is often used in country outside Holland itself, it's because in the past trading was mostly done in Holland then in the rest of The Netherlands, so that is why.

I think it would be handy if the first post, the thread starter's first post of course, will be shown on every page, so you don't have to look at the first page when you drop in a topic. I don't know if it's much work, but I think it's very handy.
