I disagree. We've seen some amazing screens last couple of months. I don't need more than one screen shot a month but I want to see more unit showcases, Panoramic views of fortified cities, etc. You catch my drift... But how many screens they post, I want to play this game My attention won't falter, other way round even.

I think it should, but you never know with these guys

Ok this is what I meant - you said 2 campaigns - Will there be like seperate missions like in AOK:THe conquerors? With battles of the conquerors ( agincourt, Manzikert,...) ? For example: A Huge map of modern France with the "provincia" in Roman hands . You play as Julius Caesar? Or a Map of Italy where you try to crush the slaves' revolt of Spartacus. Or the siege of Carthage ( if not added in the campaign, ) In AOK there were also real world maps, here as well?

Well funded argumentation lol

I'd love to see a panoramic view of a walled city of every nation/culture Especially the Gauls, I love their walls.
-
1) I'd love to see neutral factions you can control like in Age of Empires III. For example, when you are playing as the Romans and you are invading Gaul, you can ally with Gallic tribes. The benefits could look like this: [uNIT] New unit = Gallic Cavalryman [TECH] Pants = Adds amount of health to unitsĀµ ....Possibilities are endless.. Neutral races = Numedians, Nubians, ... 2) Will the scenario's, campaigns feature "true-to-life" maps? 3) Will every faction have his own campaign? 4) I hate the way walls look in Age of kings, especially the corner wall and when you build a wall against a slope or elevation. Will the walls in 0 AD remain 'smooth' ? and without a massive wall on every corner?
-
About the wall thing: I think it is easier to give units a radius. For example, you attack a fortified town => the radius of your troops makes it impossible for the enemy to build/destroy his buildings, walls... When you pull back your troops, the radius disappears obviously.

Personally I would create a page which would look like this... AI..........................15% Units......................90% done you get my idea
-
In random maps, will you be able to select sub factions, like in Age of mythology? What i mean is, In Age of mythology , the same civilization offered 3 enemies to play against. ( 3 main gods) with different tactics.
-
To be honest, AOK's tactics were= you need to have the largest army, and with the most upgrades. I'm curious how the subtle guerilla tactics of the Celtiberians will work.
-
What I dislike in AOk is that a few trebuchets get my fortifications down in a few seconds anyone familiar?
-
I want it to remain the same as AOK. But on the other hand, in Battle for middle earth the group system works.Especially with large groups of orcs.
-
I also have an idea for a RTS game set in the prehistoric time. 4 tribes: Forest people: wear antlers Swamp people: move by kano and build houses on poles Hill people : Live in tents and fortified settlements Desert Tribe: live in huts made from zebra skin and ride zebra ( chieftain rides a rhino)
-
Talking about the Roman Empire, especially the western part allowed different tribes of germanic people to settle across the Rhine. It would be cool to choose as a sub-faction a germanic people.

I think it is quite logical that the ships look quite the same, in fact they were almost the same. Copied from designs invented in Eastern Mediterrenean Sea, Greeks and Phoenicians, ... Second: Will the ROmans be able to add inventions to their ships? Like a falling bridge to adhere to the other ship? Or a small tower fo archers. It was because of these "bridges" that the romans were able to defeat Carthagian vessels, from which they copied the Trireme's design.
-
I think none of the factions used armies of slaves. It happened that slaves went to war along with their masters and other freemen, ... Only Spartacus had a massive slave army in 71 AD.
-
An Idea perhaps for bonus content: the addition of a new hero for each faction. Instead of giving a military bonus, this time it can be economic? f.e. Pericles as a Hero adds more gold/wealth to the Hellenes. Tiberius Gracchus (Romans) makes Grain cheaper and supports more population, ....?
-
So what you are saying is that all units have econ abilities. Are there units without? Like the Spartan Hoplites, they never had to farm or chop wood. They were fulltime fighters.
-
Yes I know I meant that you only have to pay once for a farm.
-
To make it very easy to understand: Think of a settlement of American natives in Age of Empires 3, Replace the buildings/units/techs and build a "watch tower" instead of a "trading post". I know this won't be included in 0. AD' s release, and I dont want to be blamed for pushing the release date to summer 2017
-
It would be very cool to add home cities, altough I guess that's just copying from AOE 3. Imagine playing as Rome, and you can chose cards like "Italian Hoplites", "Samnites", " Etruscan cavalry", .... would be cool
-
I have an idea to use this ingame: The Hellenes' Phalanx has a lot of defense, The more are fighting together, the higher their defense bonus. When the lines break, and many hoplites get killed, their bonus lowers. Realistically speaking: 1 hoplite is crap, a phalanx of hoplites is extremely dangerous...

What I meant by unlimited food: >You don't have to queue your farms ( like in AOE 2: the conquerors). Farms have unlimited food, like in Age of Mythology. Otherwise it takes too much time to rebuild the farm over and over again... Some other questions: 1. Will Romans be able to build roads? To speed up travelling ? 2. Will we be able to upgrade buildings? F.e. Upgrading a storage pit, so an archers guards he rooftop? Or like in starcraft 2 and Battle for middle earth 2? that you can add defensive stuff to yor headquarters/ town centre? F.e. A balista on the roof, catapult, ...
-
Some remarks/questions, 1. There is only 1 drop-off building for metal/stone/wood. The result seems like we'll have to build the map full of these storage camps, requiring too much micromanagement in order to get your gatherers near the resources? 2. I hope farms have an unlimited amount of food? 3. Will the civilizations have a different focus on gathering? F.e. The Romans were farmers, the Hellenes can gather food from flocks of sheep and goats, Celts were hunters/farmers, .... 4. (If there is cattle in the game) will we be able to raid it with cavalry?
