Hello there. Without hijacking this thread. I would like to ask for some assistance. I recently cut all my ties to the Microsoft and PC world. I am currently trying to operate 0A.D. on my Macpro (nehalem 8 core) I am new to the world of mac and getting the game to build is quite overwhelming. In the spirit of contributing to 0AD, if there were a kind soul who has already gotten 0AD to build and run on their mac, It would be greatly appreciated if you could spend some time with me on MSN or Phone and possibly get me up and running. Hey guys I just wanted to show everyone this webseries I have been working on. The first episode was released yest/this morning. Here's a blurb: I came on board for this project fairly late in the game. I was only involved as a sound recordist for parts of ep6 however I am doing sound design / editing and the final mix for all of the episodes. I quite enjoy it and find the characters very funny. Ok several statements here. Firstly I agree with you, throwing rocks at soldiers = bad / stupid, its not thier fault they are / were owned by big brother. Second, those particular hippies crying over the trees, yes its disturbing, I think they might have some screws lose. However as a lover of nature and cultivator of trees, I would have preferred your statement to go something around the lines of "I hate THESE hippies" because some others that you may refer to as "hippies" are pretty darn cool and not nutball tree whiners who are against the war. sorry, had to say something here

The price jumps up every Thursday and goes back down at its own pace pretty much depending on the gas company. The highest I can remember here (Montreal, Can) must have been something like $1.40 a litre. That was not too long ago either. I payed $1.06/L a few days back when I filled up. Its sad that I now find that cheap!!! You guys in the US don't know how good you have it! Lets see slightly less than 4 L per Gal Right? So 1.40 x 4 = $5.6 (CAN) per GAL of gas. wowzors! Guess that's the price we pay to send our oil to the USA and have it refined then sold back to us!!!

Keep in mind that the sound dept is open and excited about suggestions like this. Not every gamer gets as excited about sound. That being said, keep em coming. We love it! :-)

A beautiful instrument and a great suggestion! I've been working on a "warhorn" sound that is very very very similar to the Carnyx. I don't know to what extent it will be used, or even if it will be the game. Perhaps if used, in the longer run it could actually have gameplay features like you suggested. Never the less thanks for the suggestion, this is a big possibility and thank you as well for the sound references! /sleep

There is some kind of widget converter here, not sure if it converts the Mac ones to thier yahoo widget engine but there is other useful information and tools to create them cross platform widgets. This might help if someone was interested. http://widgets.yahoo.com/tools/
