When I defeat an enemy and my ally is around I often get an alarm that I'm attacked by them; don't know if that would be something like arrows already in the air or that queue being finished or what.

this happens all the time to me and my friends. it should be just that, it happes when a building switches sides.

If you try to ram a fort with garrisoned swords (something extremely difficult already), you have have very low chances because your army shrinks every time you go into the fort's range. In others words every time you get into a defensive building attack range, it cost you permanently (can't heal dead mens) more then with random arrows.

I don't believe this is true. it's a proven fact that random targeting is more effective than closest-unit targeting - see @chrstgtr comment as well. this patch is going to buff buildings against early rushing, but nerf them against late game armies.

    20 women (= 4 fields)

for MP, that would be very low. you'd usually make twice that many fields, at least. 9-10 fields is pretty standard. sometimes you see 11, even 12.

5 women for field of course.

I also want to remind that there is a pretty solid consensus in the forum for taking away the diminishing returns mechanism of fields.

Although it is true that it started progressively during the Mauryan period. Ahsoka notably promoted a vegetarian life.

very interesting option for a tech cost: collection of meat is nerfed (by half?) in exchange for some bonus.

what is a possible bonus for Brahmanism?

Well there is a race @ the moment to quantize and make them small enough but I agree ... you would get just as much joy storing random text in a mod.  I think I found a couple of random seeds for my map that I think can work for my original objective.  If I had a feature request here it would be to freeze/label the seed as a new map somehow (sorry if this is already possible)

you can create the map on atlas and save it as a non-random map.

  6. units are currently very quick at switching formation, because they run instead of walking as they always do. any faster and they'll need to teleport.

besides, would you explain please what do you mean by switching formation in combat? please make an example of such formation switch and its historical use in the battlefield.

First text for the Han. The Civic Center!

Quite honestly, I had a lot of struggle with this text, it took me way too long to write it, maybe because it is the first article of a new civilisation, I don't know.

I think I will write the ministers next, since I have already done a lot of research about them.

Also, is the civ in the game more oriented towards the Western/First or the Eastern/Second Han Empire?

look at the heroes, they all are from the same period.

    Thanks, I understand.

I played Shogun : Total War for a while and yes I loved the concept.

I believe that it's a bit complicated to do it right in a RTS where you can build armies in the skirmish map rather than on the strategic maps.

I didn't really like Age of Kings campaigns, for example, they're more "farming" that actually strategic or tactical.

Maybe with time limits (not hard ones, but for example the sooner you finish, the more troops you can take with you to the next map), or if you know in advance how scarce resources will be on the future Skirmish maps, or even better if keeping untouched resources on a Skirmish map will provide for strategic resources afterward ?

I think time being a factor is a potentially fun concept.

But otherwise, remember 0AD is a game with its core mechanics which should be the same of any in-game campaign. probably something like Rise of Nations strat campaign is best: simple, fun, mostly the same as playing any skirmish map.

While I don't disagree that the gymnasium would be a redundant feature that would be hard to justify from a gameplay function, it is somewhat ironic since the practice of publicly exercising naked was original to Spartans.

I think that the Dromos could be interesting, but I would much prefer something that could change up gameplay, and I think one option would be to make it so that Spartans could not make more than one Civic Centre and future expansion would be done with a weaker, cheaper fortress, much like the Bulgarian Krepost in Age of Empires II.  The appeal I find to this is that during the post-Peloponnesian War era, Sparta extended its authority by establishing garrisons in other cities like Thebes, and this could be a cool way of representing that.  Better yet, it could be unique as a structure you could build in allied territory as a means of supporting or even coercing them depending on the way diplomacy functions in a game.

    spartans also had colonies.
