    Exactly, is like when all italians are depicted as lazy pastaeating, mandolinoplaying mafiarelated people, or when germans are said to eat only krauts and potatoes, or spanish dancing flamenco. Stereotypes seem to have a dark fascination over us, it's really very easy to indulge on them. Have you ever used them? I can bet i did sometime in the past. and i agree it's very hard to avoid using them, but one must always be vgilant... :P

    Isn't it true, my fellow beerdrinking belgian friend? :P

    I've heard that a Blue Light Laser tech is going to be introduced in the DVD burning thing shortly. It should allow much more "compact" burning so that DVD could possibly contain more than 20 GB of data...

    ...are those only rumours or not?

    Well, it began as a economic institution (for the trading of steel and coal), and has retained much of this characteristic till now. The fact is that people are feeling a more political function is in order. This feel grows day after day, it may be nurtured by different reasonings (protect diversities, give an homogeneous direction to european politics on the other hand, and so on), but it can't be denyed that even euroskeptics agree "you must be included". This tells you that EU is important to us more than anything else and even against some appearences.

    Many EU citizens aren't happy with politics of the EU parliament, it's true, but isn't this a synpthom of the fact that they have some kind of expectations from it? If i don't expect anything from an institution, i can't feel annoyed by his behaivour. Since so many citizens feel annoyed by EU behaivour, it is reasonable to say that they feel the EU parliament should have a precise political role. Europe seems divided by culture, language (i don't think esperanto is a feasible option), attitudes, etc. Actually i feel we share more than what appears (not all that is gold shines...).

    Hey, Bernd, we gotcha! Is that an unallowed quality of banana that one you put over there? Does it exhibit a CE/EC label? You better check that or you'll get into serious trouble with our beloved custom authorities... :)
