  1. The fleur-de-lys one.. This one isn't in the game, is it?
  2. It is not ironic. I just said it is a very good work and i appreciate it? Is that suppose to mean i think he is upset about it I googled two times yesterday night and now, yes i found an article about Wessex people building it. But i also said i think single civs are covering for more. It doesn't matter anyway. ? It also came up in the mind, but there must be a room for few button. I thought about if multiple choosing is possible, but probably it is not :/ However, i got the point Thanks for the answers. I guess the ideas is not welcomed at all. There is nothing much to say.
  3. No of course not. I don't have much idea but its either filler or something remainder of Celts civ. Anyway, by the "civilization" for Stonehenge i was talking about Britons, i don't remember i specified Gauls Like i said, i support adding alternatives to the game, but i also say not to remove what currently exist. The motive is simple: why destroy it if it doesn't hurts? I am actually asking, is there anything (like in game engine) preventing it? I think accuracy is not very reasonable, and i guess civilizations cover for much more than they are (for instance, in my opinion Gauls for continental Celts, thats what i see from the matches) So let Persians have both Hanging Gardens and Gate of all Nations Stonehenge probably built by Britons maybe their ancestors. Hanging Gardens were Babylonian, but so the Ishtar Gate is. They have to be removed then. But it just covers for it. And, i personally think, whoever is the creator of Hanging Gardens model is genius. Recreating a building, especially that one not a single piece of stone left from it, or maybe not even real It is just admirable, and let it be admired. I am sure there is a considerable people who does it.
  4. I think it is the best wonder in the game by looking. Including the Stonehenge, instead of removing them from civs, they should be kept for variation. There is city re-constructions and they are fun to do. And i am sure many of the people even finish the matches before building a wonder, so what difference is that making? I know, they both are not fully accurate to the history. But what is wrong with adding structures as many as could be? Many of these wonders are not alive today, and do a player have to mess with Scenerio Editor to see them? I also think it is a pretty good way to get to know the civs or culture in general. It is just my thoughts, as a player likes to do it i strongly disagree the removal of them.
  5. I was selecting the cav, and honestly it was early game, i thought it would pass by itself but it didn't. I asked to my ally if am i the only one, or is it a bug. I pushed to the few buttons to close it, but then i gave up. You are probably right. I should've make some research before open this topic. But i am %99 sure i didn't pushed anything before that.
  6. I know, i did not pushed to anything and im sure I also tried to close it. But okay if it not possibly a bug, maybe i am wrong.
  7. This happened during a multiplayer match. I think its a bug. I have the save.
  8. I already did. It really doesn't matter, like i said. The main point is, it is one of the civs to add easily, for experienced ones i think it won't take more than 1 week work. Diversity is always good i think. But i am saying it again, if few entities belong to the Macedonians in the game, either in Atlas and the game, it is not necessary to add them. Thats why i asked if its been though of before. Like i said, it'd be another faction and few details added at the result Really, it was just an idea. I thought that would be a good way to present the Anatolian part of the Alexanders Empire. Maybe it won't worth to the efforts.
  9. I was waiting for an answer but it's been an hour I want to expand the idea. The structures can be taken from Macedon or Seleucids. Units can be taken from lots of factions. For instance: The culture should be Anatolian in base, Hellenistic in military. Temple can be changed since the folk is believing to Cybele. And we can add few Agrarian buffs in a technology called "Cybelean Traditions". So for balancing this faction with others, they will have better economy and maybe a little bit cheaper units. Or it can be just ignored, since they are retreating to the Macedonia after the Antigonos died, and ruled in there until the Roman occupation. Even their emblem is almost same with the Macedonians. My scenerio editor is really buggy and annoying right now, so i tried to inspect the units in game. This is Phrygians, i share this to better understand the main idea why use the Arab Javeliners or Persian units as citizen units.
  10. Quick Update: I realized Demetrius Antigonid is already in game. Maybe Macedons already planned including the Antigonid dynasty. I'll look for modding guides tho, but my modeling skills are big zero. Is there a specific guide for adding factions to the game except the Modding_Guide page?
  11. Wow, long time since i created this topic. I have an idea, i know there won't be any factions. It means extra work but i realized Antigonids could be added to the game very easily, there is Theban models and very alike with Antigonid infantry, they can be created by pulling things from the Selecuids-Macedonians and Atlas properties. Also differencing them is so easy from the others Well those who ask like "who are they", They owned the Western Anatolia and Northern Syria and controlled the most of the Alexanders Empire after Seleucids. Antigonus I lost the Battle of Ipsus while trying reunite the Empire, then they somehow managed to retreat to the Macedonia. Well even though they won't be added they can be used in a scenerio.
  12. @Genava55 Okay, i think you have a point. They separate from the same arm, but there is almost 600 years of partition (until the BC400) I don't know which geography of Gaul is being imaged for the game, but if its more Southern France, there is a huge distance (for that times) And it is possible to these languages differ at few points. Of course i agree with you. The both languages from the same arm: ethnonyms, toponyms even an incredible amount of words would be same. I saw two videos yesterday, but i am not sure how professional is them. I am sharing for detail my idea. (There is also other extinct languages being spoken in this channel like old egyptian, could be useful) What i see&hear from this videos : Yes, there are similar words and things. But isn't there a difference still? I think Gaulish is a bit influenced by the neighbor languages like Latin, and Brittonic seems like more Celtic. Maybe it is because the Celtic image in my mind, i don't know. But i see a little difference. Also, Common Brittonic looks like Welsh a bit. (I totally understood why Welsh cannot be used, i just wanted to point it ) They might be the tables & texts of a different timelines. But if its an easier way, and if its certain they don't have a big difference in common language, it is okay to use same voices. But maybe in-game texts can be revised. That is my own idea of course. I am not professional, i just like researching it.
  13. If @Genava55 is responsible from both of them, i can directly deliver the resources i find to him. I just found few here and here. There is also books like Dictionnaire de la langue gaulois , but it is removed from the web, and to read them French and a little Greek knowledge is needed. I realized French resources are more than the English ones, so this is the reason we can't find anything (maybe). There is few "Gaulish" words can be used at game, i pulled from the first resource. (For curious, these are from page 48) ambactus - vassal, dependent on the lord. attegia - hut, cottage (there is a note that tegia means house, roof) brogae - field carrus - two-wheeled wagon (for traders maybe) carpentum - two-wheeled, covered wagon. (this might be the chariot) drungus - troop of enemies (this can be use as a sound line) drogn - troop gaesum - spear, javelin. nausum - ship lancea - also spear. [ dó-leicim - “I throw” ] I realized, (maybe) this language they spoken is different than Welsh, but it is highly possible to find similarity between them, even with Irish many times. If the in game texts are Welsh, these words above are similar. I am not really a professional, so i can't be sure what is Gaulish (the resource is really complicated) And for the other resources, someone French should needed for better information.
  14. @Stan` Is there a another specific topic for Gaul sounds or the language part in general? So that i'll send things here.
  15. Nothing much than that i guess. But i'll try to find more resources for the things i suggested. There is few Celtic languages has been spoken (Celtiberian), but i didn't gave the name because i think its impossible to find them.
  16. @Stan` I have interest on ancient languages, so i checked the address given above. ı want to share some ideas: 1. For Brittons, there is a specific class for Brittonic languages under the Celtic Languages (which differencing it from Irish&Scottish which is Goidelic) So the Welsh, Cornish and Bretton language is the best to use as its written already. But i don't know which one is more pure, they both influenced by another classes. 2. For Gauls, like i said above there is specific class for Gaulish languages too. I think most easy to find Gaulish language is Galatian language, existed in Asia Minor until the 12.century, even though they protected the celtic culture, the language is way too influenced on Greek. The easier non-accurate alternative is Old German, but it makes no sense since it has same resource possibility with Galatian. This is a example text i find it in a website after a google search. Gaulish already used in the in-game text i think. And for Iberians, i don't think Basque language is the best since its the isolated language and there is no proven link between Indo-European languages. Is it the one in the in-game texts of Iberians? Also, for Carthage Hebrew is a fine choice, but if possible i think Punic (the original language) can be found. Of course, these ideas looks hard and maybe too professional. I'd be glad if i can provide any help
  17. Why not also keep it on Britons, i think it is one of the best wonders in the game. Of course it doesn't matter that much.
  18. Will the current wonder (Stonehenge) be kept in game as another special building? Like Ishtar Gate of Persians. But it might not be the best example since you can garrison units in it.
  19. Giants, we know. Britons use people who have giantic body as warior, its a special unit. Actually only more bigger than normal human size.
  20. I know it is late but : Brtions use giantic persons in war.It can be added to Brtions for differatiating
  21. Dont forget Pyramids of Meroe for Wonder I find another things: Can be use for Barracks, Temple etc....
  22. As you can see, this warrior have a pitchfork. But when you put together all of Spartan Hoplites, we see spears. Is it a bug?
  23. Not same but their cultures are very very likes each other. And there is no Turkic-Persian culture in game, so one of them will be good. Also, why don't you add Armenia? Armenians are important civilization, they like Persians in culture topic
  24. Well, still something missing here . You can't let it with mods, it's too early for leaving necessary things to mods. Especially in Alpha version, if there is a time, thats the time. I didn't mean new Greek factions or new Barbarian factions. We think the game's geography, we miss many factions like Scythians (or you can call Sarmatians, mostly same people), Numidians, China. Okay we didn't add China, but where are Scythians and Numidians? As you can see, its from 500BC, there is Sarmatians, Berbers. Now we go fall of Empire of Alexander : Also there is great civilizations like Armenia or Pontus. In a nutshell : At least you must add different cultures and civilizations. I say as a fan of this game, i am really bored. This factions i said, plays important roles in Rise of Roman Empire. I repeat it : It is too early for proposing mods!
