My luck has changed -- I just started college today and lo and behold the library has, like, 3 shelves devoted to Tolkien.
That's always good. My university has a good collection too, including original issues of the Tolkien society's publication from the 60s and 70s with all sorts of interesting articles!
That will be helpful for you and interesting as well.

... and Mandos!

Meh, compared to all the disasters that have been happenning in this world lately (Southern California mudslides, tidal waves, Iraq, ect.), this isn't really life changing at all. I'm sure people can have a bad hair day and perfectly lead normal lives.
I'm going to have to disagree with you on that.

Rhythm is a Dancer - Snap [Pulse]
Gotta love the early 90s dance classics. this song has an infectious synth line!

No problem - you don't even have to admit to the mistakes as long as they get fixed
We all make mistakes.

If anything I would think it "dishonored" Quenya since it usurped its place as the royal language of Númenor.
By the way - make sure you remember to log in next time you make the change

I live quite near to Lake Erie, but it is a really disgusting lake And it's so shallow that it freezes over!
The only good use for it is as a means of trade and commerce, as well as the source for many beautiful rivers and streams that pass near my home, which I hold dear to me.
The lake itself, as a habitat for wildlife is pretty poor, as it's polluted and tainted. But it's good for recreational boating and decent for fishing, and I've been on several camping/hiking trips to islands in the lake and i've really enjoyed the scenery.
I've also been to Lake Ontario, Michagan, and Huron, and of all of them, Michigan and Huron are my favorites. (I imagine I'd like superior too)
Mackinac Island in the channel between the lower and upper peninsulae of Michagan is surrounded by the utterly breathtaking blue and clean waters of Huron and Michigan.
And where I go to school - Cornell University - is also right next to a large, glacial lake! Cornell is situated on a hill right above Lake Cayuga, one of the biggest of the finger lakes, deep glacial grooves that became lakes. Though it is very narrow, Lake Cayuga is over 600 feet deep in places! They are akin to like scottish lochs I suppose. No underwater sea monsters, unfortunately.
Protect the great lakes.

We can handle the web aspect of the family Tree, Curu, but we wouldn't use such fonts as Papyrus like you have in that image. We'd want it to be quick-loading and a bit more utilitarian.

I thought Bernd had mentioned that earlier.

I just beatmatched and (fake) mixed some tracks on the computer and I've been listening to that.
I say fake because I don't have enough spare cash to buy turntables and a mixer to do it the "authentic" way. I am cheap and use computer software

You mean this tests whether or not you are qualified to work in a cubicle
I got two right - maybe that's because I work Summers in a cubicle
-
Definitely.
We need to look into this, Bernd. We'll have Mikael whip up a quick wizard or something
I think the way this could work is to start a family tree with one person, then in the wizard check a box next to it and add a descendent, etc until it's complete. (and then there are marriages and stuff, etc)

Great, it will be a welcome addition.
Btw - I started with the links section, with a link to rolozo Tolkien's Fëanor Art Gallery
-
You'd have to upload it to a web-server, and then you simply put the URL of the image into the code of the page.
Maybe I should talk to the web guys about getting you editors a place to store images on the server.

Problem:
Article had said that Elrond bore Nenya, the Ring of Water, which was actually borne by Galadriel only. Elrond bore Vilya, the Ring of Air, which was originally given to Gil-galad by Celebrimbor and then handed down to Elrond after his fall.
Solution:
Changed Nenya to Vilya and added some more background information to flesh it out and provide a link to Elrond's relationship to Gil-galad.

I don't own PSP unfortunately - I think we're pretty much done for the time being - but thanks for the offer nonetheless.

Hey guys.
So I figured out why the reply buttons were so pixellated and what not.
I just installed Adobe Photoshop CS and my settings didn't transfer from Photoshop 6
So I was a moron and my typefaces had no anti-aliasing on, and I didn't notice. So I thought that the pixellation was being caused by the file format, when it was in fact due to me missing this setting.
Anyways, I hope you're as happy as I am with the improved buttons!
(By the way, if it wasn't for so many people pointing it out I wouldn't have bothered with it )

The Heraldic device I posted above is the device of Durin that was engraved onto Hollin Gate by Narvi.

I just made a small formatting change to the information block (since he had so many sons it messed up the lines below it)

Behold, the First Prophesy of Bolidelich
TLA's "greatness" will be greatly in the eye of the beholder I imagine.

I don't remember what was the great symbol of power to Dwarves, but I think it would something as a decorative ax

I found this feature of the wiki just a bit ago that lets us make custom timelines - it looks really helpful for us!
I'll try to figure out how it works and write a quick guide on it. Who knows, maybe you'll figure it out before me though
