I remember cited the name before even with proper link.but I'm not sure if was here, in this post.
It was not. It was in the "Crowdsourced faction: Seleucids" thread.

Okay, its proper name is the Kausia. It was a piece of headwear that is portrayed in pre- and post- Alexanderian Macedonian, post-Alexandrian Greco-Bactrian, and Indo-Greek sculptures and art. Seems to be headwear for the poorer classes, and was eventually adopted by Rome.

Why? Isn't needed
Fair point. Was just thinking it might get attention, but that's just presumptuous.

Just remembered. There possibly will be need for a Mercenary camp/meeting building. A building to train mercs.
That is if the devs make changes to the Seleucids..
-
Should I create a "needs design decision" ticket for "Seleucid Unit Roster?"
-
Is there a place to find all the animals models/rigs? I might try my hand at making a few animations.

Can be use for hero or Elite unit or champions...
Ah. So, just a general prop? Also, there was mention of a cloth-ish plate looking hat in one of the other threads. Had anybody gotten to that?
Edit: The Chitrali cap

I keep on seeing all this talk about an "officer helmet", but what unit will this go to?
-
Should an official task be created for Seleucid unit design, like the Seleucid buildings task, or should we wait 'till the devs choose one of the suggested rosters?

It may be more important to show the dummies, anvils, shields, spears, etc., than to give the men some shade. I mean for gameplay (need to make it clear what this building is quickly). But LordGood is proficient artist. He can decide.
How about the shield and crossed spears on the side? That is a sure sign of a barracks. Most Hellenistic factions have that.

The building is very beautiful.
Couldn't have stated it better! Good job LordGood!

I like this direction L
In general I think the Seleucid texture needs to be more realistic, like all of the others. This texture sheet stands out as cartoony to me.In LordGood's defence, a lot of the Seleucid textures look like that.
And my two cents: I think the banners are fine, as long as there are military-esque objects inside or outside. Because realistically, it would be hot and sunny there, so their buildings would have shade in small courtyards.

Is there something that can be done about the cheekguards? Or this that being worked on?

R&F's system was actually kinda nice. But the one thing I like from it was its selection system. By single clicking on a unit in formation, it would select the entire formation, double click to select the individual unit. We also need a click drag facing option, like R&F, Rise of Nations, and Total-War.

The houses can be...
I don't see the problem with that.
Oui, but EVERYTHING is destroyed right now.
-
I just think the buildings around the civ center shouldnt automatically collapse when the CC is captured.
-
Right now, there is no stone impact sound, nor is there a catapult thrown sound. The Penteres combat is just weird without it, and ranged siege weapons will sound a lot more convincing.
-
Also, could it be done that AI has faction personalities? Playing a match where Sparta spams cav and skirmishers is just weird.... It need to be infantry heavy.

LoL, no infantry have same armour vs pierce and hack. there will be drow if u make them duel each other (with same upgrades)
Oh. Apparently I dont pay attention...

I know that formations are not done yet, but can anybody shed some light on if "in formation" stat buffs are planned? Pikes NEED them.

Spearmans have exactly the same dmg as swordsmans, swords are better to destroy building, thats all. for example macedon has hero + 5 atack aura and silver sheilds have even more hp then extraordinarii or longswords but dmg is same.
Wait, SiShPi have the same damage as extraordinarii? Oh, but damage type is the issue. Swords are more useful against infantry, which is why SiShTh is a better choice right now. Infantry are genrally more resistant to pierce damage then hack damage, so while the same numerical value is used, extraordanirii are more cost effective than the SiShPi, dealing more damage to infantry, and cav can just run away like they are supposed to.

How about making the default stance for all Petras "Defensive". It's really annoying that you run a scout through their town, and the attackers will chase your scout for twenty minutes across the map, until you forget about them, then all of a sudden you get a "You're being attacked!" notification, because they finally caught up with your scout. Also, it makes hit and fades impossible....

Ah! The Swan Knights of Dol Amroth! I still prefer the Fountain Guard of Minas Tirith.

did anybody else notice the LOTR horseman at 1:48? Is it Gondorian or Rohirric? I'm intrigued now....

Channel screen/intro help with Blender
in Introductions & Off-Topic Discussion
Posted
I'm trying to come up with a channel cover, and possibly eventually, a channel intro, but I have a distinct lack of creative talent. Does any Blender user or artsy person have any advice to make this better as a channel cover?
