  1. Yes, local.cfg doesn't exist unless you create it.

    My computer won't let me paste a copy of default.cfg. It doesn't bring up a message, it just won't let me. Is there another way to create it? It claims it is "read only files"

  2. To piggyback.

    Make sure to add these to your local.cfg in order to get the most graphic bang.

    gentangents=truematerialmgr.quality=10

    If you have a graphic card (instead of integrated), it should be able handle this. In-game options do not enable ambient occlusion. Must use local.cfg like this.

    where do you find local.cfg? Do I have to create it as a copy of default.cfg?

  3. Sweet. Submitted. I want your guy's opinion on something. To balance the roster that we have collectively come up with, I am planning on leaving the Thracians out of the new proposed roster (or suggesting that they be heavily nerfed). This is done to balance the Seleucids on a meta scale, because the diversity of the roster makes it a bit op. It is a Diadochi faction so it needs good pikes/spears, it is a Middle Eastern faction so it needs good archers, and the devs already stated that is was a cav faction, so swords are the area that needs to be cut. If you think having the swords early won't make it OP, please tell me. I'm just trying to balance it so the new roster isn't very OP against other factions.

  4. Is there some possible way that we can get the new roster (the full one suggested above [ with the interchange of Syrian archer with Mysian] ) into Alpha 19? Maybe not entirely finish unique visuals yet, work with what is already there, but get the units in the game so they can be tested? I might be being a bit pushy here, and I apologize, but I am quite eager to see the changes to the game's overall civ balance, and run through more combat tests in Atlas.

  5. We could replace your idea if the Iranian with the Mysian heavy archer. You had an article that they were dressed in the Macedonian style, and being from that part of Asia Minor means that they would have a large greek influence, possibly leading to heavier armour. You could either just use them to replace say, the Syrian archer in the proposed new roster. The Mysian archers would be slower, and less damage dealing than the Cretans, but would have more armour, letting the player make a tactical decision, without overbalancing the faction

  6. I think the range of javelin cav should be increased. Right now, they are basically useless, but they need to ne right next to an oponent to attack. Range increase, please. That, or increase the armour a lot. Also, companipn cav need to be stronger. They are not cost effective at all, and that limits Macedonia and the Seleucids melee cav options be an insane amount.

    -edit. Sorry for double message (I removed it)

  7. well, the faction's page says it is a cav faction. This would be a lot of archers, and might de-balance it. I think, maybe two archers? Replace the light peltast with an archer? Or, it would have to be a one or the other, or two or the other situation, like the Traditional vs. Reform choice. Then we could use all of them.
