  1. Ok, so you do use a development copy. You should consider using a stable version, even if some features are missing. Anyway, thanks for reporting, I am working on this! This is the corresponding Trac ticket, to follow the changes: http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/2678
  2. But how did you install the game? The gdb output seems to indicate that the failing code is a recent code, that was added to the development version some days ago, so it's not part of the release version.
  3. This is caused by my r15508, so you actually are using the SVN version (even if it is written Alpha 16 it is not ). Did you update the game between saving and loading the map?
  4. Hello RedChaos, What caused the problem is that you used a lot of "rubble" entities. These entities are not supposed to be used, because they will just vanish in some minutes, by decaying on the ground. These entities are used in-game when a structure is destroyed, so you should not place them manually. I removed all these entities from your map, to allow you continuing your work. I hope you'll find something suitable to replace them! Good luck for the contest Ancient Lands.zip
  5. Bonjour Maxoen, ce post est absolument incompréhensible, tu ne devrais pas utiliser google traduction Peux-tu modifier ton texte pour écrire en français, je pourrai traduire ensuite. Merci ! Hi Maxoen, this post is absolutely impossible to understand, you shouldn't use google translate Could you edit your text to write in French, I can translate then. Thanks!

-- Indeed, we are using an old version of the forum (and the upgrade is planned), but as for many other systems than the game itself, we lack time for having everything up-to-date. Anyway, the version 4 is still under development, so we're not going to upgrade now. I can only recommend using another browser, because you'll experience many problems with IE on the Internet Thanks for finding a way to solve the problem, which may occur to other people in the future. Have fun playing 0A.D.!
  8. Thanks for this information about your unusual text size, that must be the actual root of your problems. I don't know if this is something we should fix or if there is something you can do, I'll discuss this with other devs. (en realidad resulta que la falta de ese información fue el verdadero problema, por no ser perfecto tu inglés es bastante comprensible, pero comprobamos que tu IP era de España y pensamos que a lo mejor pudiéramos entendernos mejor así.) (actually it seems that this lack of information was the real problem, even if your English isn't perfect it is rather understandable, but we saw that your IP was from Spain and we thought that, maybe, we would understand better each other)
  9. Normalmente, si tienes xres=0 y yres=0 en tu default.cfg (y nada en el local/user.cfg), el juego utilizará tu resolución habitual cuando lo abras. ¿Es lo que quieres conseguir? Normally, if you have xres=0 and yres=0 in your default.cfg (and nothing in local/user.cfg), the game will use your usual resolution when you open it. Is this what you want to achieve?
  10. Hola tomoco, resulta un poco difícil entender tus problemas, pues si quieres no vaciles en explicarlo todo en español (que parece ser tu idioma). Para resumir, lo que pasa es que cuando tú intentas pasar en fullscreen pierdes la resolución de pantalla que tenías antes, ¿me equivoco? Hi tomoco, it's a bit difficult to understand your problems, so if you want don't hesitate to explain everything in Spanish (which seems to be your language). Summing it up, what happens is that when you try to change to full screen, you loose the previous resolution, am I wrong?
  11. I am the copyright holder of original works I post in the Wildfire Games 0 A.D. Art Development forum. I hereby release all original works I uploaded to this forum in the past, and those I will upload in the future, under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.
  12. Hello IVIarsu, yes we still need them! Did you talk about this with your friend? Also, don't hesitate to create a new topic to propose this, to prevent us from forgetting your post in a very large conversation.
  13. Hi Yorgos, thanks for these voices! I have a doubt about the words you used, they seem to be modern Greek (especially επουλούμαι, I'm almost sure this is a modern conjugation). The idea would be to keep the ancient words, but in order to fit more "modern" factions such as Macedonians or Seleucids, we could choose to pronounce them in a modern way. For instance, females in the game use a kind of modern pronunciation, rather different from the commonly accepted ancient one.
  14. Hi Gronvik, as you might already know, making a video game is something difficult and you'll definitely need help and luck to find people to manage realizing your idea. However, it's still possible to achieve it and you're right to give it a try. By reading your post, I think you should consider gathering all your ideas/drafts and a robust game design document at some place on the Internet, to attract people able to help you. You absolutely need something to make them feel they really want to see the project finished, and unfortunately saying "it will be a great sequel to Caesar IV" is not enough! I am personally rather curious about your project and I'd like to know more about this But I think it will be easier for you to put all your interesting ideas somewhere than to post it in every forum where someone asks you. Itms
  15. Well, my ancient pronunciation is rather different of the current modern female voice but it is easy to recognize it's the same phrases.
  16. With great pleasure Yorgos! I just proposed this but it would be better to have a native speaking, and also to have different people to make the voices Thanks in advance!
  17. Flavius: I think everyone here (at least me, you and GunCheloc) agrees on the pronunciation. However, some vowel sounds do not correspond to anything existing in English, due to the shift. This is the reason why 'ae', pronounced [ae], is very close to 'I' [aǝ]. To solve this Babel problem, I suggest you make remarks directly about the recordings, so I have a precise idea of possible mistakes! And by the way, I just updated the voices in the first post.
  18. Updated Greek voices (ancient and modern)
  19. Yes you're right, and being French I don't have this vowel problem But Flavius had to use English words to explain what sounds he talked about. Can you confirm the recorded voices sound good to you? EDIT: sorry, actually I dońt agree at all with Flavius on 'i', because I made a mistake in my English pronunciation! And about 'ae' linguists tend to think it was actually not a dipthong.
  20. Thanks Flavius! I use this pronunciation, so no problem! I just disagree for 'y', because it's a letter that doesn't exist in Latin. Many Latin words taken for Greek have a 'y', therefore they are pronounced like the French 'u' (this sound doesn't exist in English, if I'm not mistaken). This is not a problem because there is no 'y' in the recorded voices
  21. Yes it did, I was just answering nylki about the eh/ee problem but the pronunciation in the recordings is rightly W. To get a precise idea, is the intonation of 'my lord' right for the male voice? I agree it lacks 'drama' on the female one.
  22. nylki: I agree with you for the 'fight' voice. About the ave, I actually pronounced it ah-veh but I listened again and it's not perfectly clear. So I should try to record these two phrases again. Thanks for your feedback!
  23. Okay, I recorded again Ancient Greek voices, with more fluidity and fewer 'pops'. I update my first post to give you the new files. Lion (and others of course): I just posted Latin voices in another thread : http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18646
  24. Hello! This is what I did, with a friend for female voices, for Latin sentences. The sentences can be found here: http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18631, don't hesitate to correct things on my translation... Enjoy it, and please give me some feedback! Update (20/05) Male voices here Female voices here Thanks, Itms
  25. Lion: I've studied Latin at school and made some research about accurate pronunciation. But I'll open another topic with recordings, so you (and others) can give me your opinion! And thanks everyone for your positives (so far) comments on these voices!
