  1. "History": "The Romans controlled the largest empire of the ancient world, Isnt this incorrect information? In 117 AD Roman empire was 6,500,000 km². The Persian empire at it''s peak in 480 BC was 8,000,000 km².
  2. You guys are doing a good job at depicting a time period in India that's rarely ever represented. Even in India.. Good progress by the team.
  3. ^^^^^ Plus the Seleucids used Indian elephants. The Ptolemaic empire used N. African elephants. In that pic they made the Seleucid elephants African looking.
  4. What the heck happened to Lion? Why did he quit? He was so active...
  5. Mycenaean soldiers Ramses III defeats the sea-peoples off Pelusium
  6. You guys should have the plastered look like this on majority of the buildings I think. Even the Stupas are plastered. Basically there shouldn't be much of the "visible marks", because of the plaster over it. You guys should read this paper. Amazing insight into the period. http://www.archive.o...181111_djvu.txt
  7. What happened to the elephant model here? It looks way better.(looks more Asian)
  8. Naga Muchalinda - Buddha is said to have spent fifth week after gaining Enlightenment under a goatherd's nygrodha tree and later went to Muchalinda where he was protected in a storm by the naga king Muchalinda. In upper part of panel we see a Bodhi tree topped with an umbrella, surrounded by worshippers. Below it is shown Naga king Muchalinda with his hood and retinue. Below panel shows a royal couple in vyala-shaped prow and fish-tale stern boat. The water is indicated with wavy lines, and lotus flowers and creepers are seen in it.
  9. I'm well aware of who he is, but a Greek ambassador to the emperor's court isn't as important as the power base of not only the empire but also much of Indic civilization. And a region where Buddhism has a lot of it's roots. It's not even on the same level at all. I'm aware he gives insight into the empire(which is rare), but the region is MUCH more important to the empire than a Greek ambassador will ever be. He was one of im sure a sea of diplomats in the emperor's court. But there is only one Magadha. It's like comparing some Indian traveler that gives insight into the Roman empire to the capital Rome or Constantinople. Which is more important? Not even an argument.
  10. The next alpha will include Mauryans right? I think it should be Magadha. It's the power base of the empire. They stretched their hands out from there and grabbed almost all of India. Also Buddhism, Jainism, etc have roots from there.
  11. It dpesnt have to be scale. It could be this here. Looks like small bronze plates.
  12. Possibly this can influence the CC. A good blend of indigenous and Hellenic works. http://theseus-aegean.blogspot.com/2012/01/alexandria-ptolemaic-dynasty.html It is. http://en.wikipedia....ple_of_Kom_Ombo The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple built during the Ptolemaic dynasty in the Egyptian town of Kom Ombo.[1] Some additions to it were later made during the Roman period. The building is unique because its 'double' design meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods.[2] The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor and Khonsu.[2] Meanwhile, the northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris, also known as Horusthe Elder, along "with Tasenetnofret (the Good Sister, a special form of Hathor) and Panebtawy (Lord of the Two Lands)."[2] The temple is atypical because everything is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis.
  13. This Asian model is good. I think the only problem is that the ears look huge like the African ones.
  14. You should remove the yellow symbol. It looks too European.
