  1. Originally Enrique was in this direction. Like 90+% of the buildings were plastered over. http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16572&st=60#entry252505
  2. ^^^^^^^ Plus, a lot of the structures now are overwhelmingly stone based. Or have the brick marks visible(CC, Barracks, etc, etc). When in fact they were mostly wood or plastered over like this. No stone, brick marks should be shown. Chanakya show does an amazing job at recreating that era accurately. Now compare to this texture. http://www.wildfireg...&attach_id=4993 http://www.wildfireg...100#entry259122 This is because you guys went back to Egg inspired original Mauryan work i think.
  3. The early ones under chandragupta was wooden. The greek diplomat mentioned this. Later they moved on to the brick like in the reliefs. You guys can pick either, but you guys already used so much bricks on other structure. Just saying.
  4. The early Mauryans used wood, then moved on to stone in Ashoka+. Their successors(relief) carried on the brick design. You guys already used a lot of stone on barracks, cc, castle anyways.
  5. The walls should pretty much look like this. With the brick marks visible not plastered over like on the relief.
  6. Maybe the champion can get scale armor, but doesn't offer as much protection as western units. http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/1670/p1120592v.jpg
  7. Such large stupas would be plastered for sure. People would probably think it was unfinished if they saw a large stupa with brick marks still showing. The example below is rather small, humble. Amd also atypical because it doesnt have plaster over the bricks.
  8. They're one of the easiest factions to steam roll actually.
  9. What about hero models? http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17026
  10. Yeah, you're right. You wont really see much of it in the game anyways.
  11. You've seen this pic before, but you can see the same stupa on the left(also another on the right). It's Prasanna Weerakkody's take on it.
  12. Here's a stupa that's a little bit newer than Maurya era. relief reconstruction, also white.
  13. It's up to you guys, but historically they plastered pretty much a lot of things. Including stupas. I personally also like what you have too. In the reliefs they would make those brick marks visible.. Like examples below. ^^^ Above shows walls, etc with bricks without plaster over it. If you look at most of the stupas they have plaster over it. This is the only one below I have seen without a layer of plaster. It's a small one. You can see a layer of plaster still on it.
  14. Love the scaffolding. Kerala is my ancestral land. So yay.
  15. I thought they were a hybrid culture, but I have been reading that their military make up is basically Macedonian. But they obviously had to hire natives later on. Ptolemaics weren't more specific faction than Seleucids While the Seleucids military is very diverse. But, yeah, Enrqiue and Lordgood have started work already so it's pointless.
  16. right Ancient Indian bowmen ancient indian buddhist warrior
  17. Is it 100% set in stone that Ptoemaic Kingdom will be the next faction? Because there are other interesting factions with interesting units and civ. Like Kingdom of Pontus http://en.wikipedia....ngdom_of_Pontus Kingdom of Armenia http://en.wikipedia....nia_(antiquity) Seleucids empire http://en.wikipedia....Seleucid_Empire Seleucids in a way connects Mauryans to the rest. And their rooster is pretty amazing!
  18. Not really They even put the Mauryans in who arent even close to the Mediterranean. So it's not completely restricted to that area.
  19. 0 AD is a Mediterranean-centric game?? I just thought it was empires from 500BC-0AD?? They sure are doing Mauryans justice btw.
