  1. Im with hhyloc on this. I would rather see the base game polished, optimized and full of features before they add any more factions.

Ye it's definitely path finding then because just then my metal miners (about 20 of them) all got stuck at the same time and they was moving left and right to try and get past the other guy but they all ended up getting stuck and the game went to about 5fps but then i moved them all, the fps shot back up. This is why i don't play with Q bot and i play on my own from now on.
  4. Whats so good about linux? why do some people have it, is it because it's free or does it have some other good features that windows/mac doesn't? i don't understand what it is.
  5. what actually is it thats making the game lag anyway? the graphics or the AI scripts. I only notice lag on big maps with trees or when Qbot has like 500 villagers. Is there a way i can set a population limit for Qbot?
  6. Amazing job guys! looks awesome and i can't wait to play. Didn't even have a clue you were making 3 new Greek Civs, Awesome! how long till i can devour the new features?
  7. Yes. I remember reading that many things will have units operating them like ships, siege weapons etc. Not sure about the buildings and walls though it would be good if there was.
  8. Man im actually excited for the new alpha 10 even more now and since i have not got the Tortoise SVn version it will all be new too me. Can't wait!
  9. Well maybe you could add an essence of all 3 into the civ, like the Celts and the Britons are 1 faction called the Celts right? Personally i would add the very early Egyptians (Achaemenid) because they are the true Egyptians with there Pharaohs and them cool curved swords/head dresses they used. Another question, is part 1 of 0ad the version after the Alpha or will that be Beta stage?
  10. It would help if there was a "Call to arms" button on town center that makes all male citizens currently working to put there fighting gear on and kill any intruders. The women should go to the town center and garrison it. When you click on call to arms when the intruders are killed, Your people go back to work.Its annoying when you have to manually assign them to there jobs and this feature would save a lot of time. I know the war dogs are not complete yet but here is an idea: when you command the dogs to attack, they will become independent and will not retreat from the battle until the enemies are dead or the dogs are killed. If you win the battle you can control the dogs again. Would add a bit of a realism to the way dogs work because i bet it was hard to handle hounds back in the day lol. I think cavalry should be able to knock enemies over if they run into them and not just ride up to them and start hitting them. Would give an edge to the cavalry since they are better than foot-soldiers and not to mention would look awesome! Celt women should be able to become shield maidens if they rank up. This would make the Celts more of the cheap and rushing civ. (maybe an early tech tree upgrade) Make neutral settlements on the map that you can use your trade caravans on. The neutral settlement requires you to have military units in there boarder to be able to trade with. You have a choice to what you can trade with the settlement. Idle villagers will help build. Ability to tell your soldiers to patrol around boarder. Your soldiers have more health when fighting in there own boarder. When walls are implemented, the ability to build them through your fortress/castle.
  11. Just realised your missing a major civilization, the Egyptians or Ptolemaic Dynasty. is there already plans under way for these or are you only adding Civilizations that were after 0ad? Maybe you could base them off the last few years of there rule when Cleopatra ruled them in 30bc which is not far from 0ad.i would like to definately see some Egyptian architecture and units in the game.

  14. Hi! this is my first post and just wanted to say that you have an excellent strategy game and well done with it up too now. I would like too suggest if that the naval system of movement and battle is more on the realistic side for example Rise and Fall had an excellent system and maybe you could copy it a little. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUTW8Jxt5po Obviously exclude the 3rd person mode part of it. The thing i like about it is the way you can have men on your ship that can board other ships with the rope and gangplank and take them over or they can just destroy it with the ram ability or a built catapult on the back. Would be really cool if something similar was put into 0 AD. Would this be possible or too much of an effort?
