  1. We dont use PMD anymore, we use collada (.DAE).
  2. What version of max do you use? The file tanks my Max 2009.
  3. Neat. How big is the texture map? My only criticism would be to make the dome map a little more texturey (bumpy).

  5. Well, my point is that in a phalanx battle precision is not important, only that you manage to comfortably get your spear into a declining thrust over the enemy's shield wall.
  6. People will gather from farms, but not automatically. Is this what ur experiencing?
  7. Healers setting up shrines or "hospital" tents would have been my preferred route, but I think 0 A.D. is going a little more metaphorical with its healers (like in AOK). They'll pretty much function similarly to the monks in AOK (AOEII), plus temples will heal units like in Age of Mythology (Apollo's 'Temple of Healing'). In reality armies of this period did take priests and medical personnel along on campaign, so their use here in our game isn't toooo far fetched.

  9. It will be in Part 1. At one time (pre-pre-alpha) female-capturing was implemented, but it is currently not implemented since the simulation code was completely redesigned.
  10. Right, a "town bell" in our game would just make all the females run for cover. It would be nice if they had a run animation and a "running for my life" animation.
  11. Perhaps... * Scout (available to all cavalry units; reduces armor to 0, but increases speed and LOS by 10%; selected cavalry unit will begin to automatically scout the map in a somewhat randomized fashion)
  12. Actually, it is spec'ed that female citizens are capturable (with cavalry in a similar manner that animals are also captured). In fact at one time this feature was implemented.

  15. No stat limits have been decided yet. Basically, 100 HPs would be good for a regular soldier, etc.
  16. Yeah, but with text that size the "launch screen" looks to be about 600x450 resolution. Looks Photoshop to me.

  21. It's not like fishing couldn't be implemented. It's just a feature that has been sacrificed for brevity.
  22. There really is no need for finesse or "accuracy" in a phalanx battle. Anywhere you stab will most likely connect with an enemy soldier (either his flesh or his armor). My point about the underarm grip is that the enemy shield wall (and your friend's shield) is in the way.
  23. You ignore that spears can be rested on the shoulder using an overarm grip as well. Nothing in that passage says underarm grip.
