  1. Hi, OK, I have these changes done, although there is a bug or two I'm still working out, the JSObjects have all been replaced by globals. This is currently in a github branch. Can you get it from there? Would you just like it as a diff file? I suppose I could just check in the changes to svn when its bug free, but that may take a little bit. Would you rather have the changes first?

  2. Yep, LordGood's fortress look pretty good too, but it will need re-scaling I think. I can try to texture it and see how it looks. Here's a house test. Same footprint as persian houses. I'm thinking to make the main color tone more toward pale yellowish color... but not sure.

  4. That's looking like a great start. I like the main colors too. Do you plan to keep working on it? I was talking about "poor" structures wall textures. I leave a shot of what I'm aiming right now, trying to find the correct main colours for the civilization. And I was referring to "floor tiles". Those cartoon references look great they also depict the structures painted in white with the ornamental paintings over the white... I always thought that their main colour would be a yellowish tone

  6. The brilliant thing about this way of funding a project is that if a goal is not met, the backers get their money back. If the goal is say 250.000 then the work will only commence if this financial goal is met. In addition to this, it serves as a brilliant indicator for how much interest there is for any given project. But as I've said before, I still think there is a limited window of opportunity for this to work, the novelty factor is starting to go away and a few years from now no game or tech sites are gonna write about games being funded this way. I'm not an expert in open source etc, so forgive me if I'm incorrect, but wouldn't it be possible to branch of the project and use crowd funding to develop the branch further while the "original" keeps being developed the old fashioned way? The crowd-funded version could for instance focus more heavily on things like perfecting the on-line competitive aspect of the game etc
