  1. We already have staff multiplayer. But how about a community tournament after each alpha? The winner(s) could have an honor badge under his/her forum avatar. I think the game is already mature enough for such tournaments. Don't you think so?

  2. We've actually discussed quite a few new game play features over the years in the private Staff Forums. Discussions usually go on at length before a new major feature is agreed upon. Yep, a decal. And it would probably look like a long dirt track. It could probably "recede" as a visual indication of the units coming back out. I don't think the actual tunnel should cost resources, just time. Time units spend in the tunnel is time they aren't gathering resources, so it's essentially the same thing. The shack can cost some initial resources though. I'm thinking there would be a max distance (you can't build a tunnel from all the way across the map, for instance), probably close enough that the enemy can see the shack go up. You also cannot cross water with your tunnel (it would flood, duh).

  4. Would the siege tunnel have a maximum distance from the target? The further away the tunnel is, the more expensive and time-consuming it becomes, right? Smoke could appear from the ground just before the building collapses - suggesting the tunnel below the structure is being burnt to cause a collapse (the standard way of undermining)? I'm not sure about units appearing from an 'end point'. My suggestion would be they ungarrison from the siege tunnel entrance structure. Would the darkened terrain remain after the tunnel structure is destroyed? Would it be the terrain texture changing, or a decal above the terrain? I suggest the latter. I really like this idea, lets discuss it some more

  5. Too much choice overwhelms the user. There should be more warnings and guides to help the user make these choices. For maps, I suggest a notice like "This is an island map. Computer opponents cannot play very well on island maps, and you may experience increased lag on these maps as well". For AI's, I'm thinking we should reconsider bundling AI's that aren't being maintained, like JuBot.

  6. Actually, just extend the rock below the ground (in a rock-like manner). "Foundations" merely means "part of the model that can be revealed when on a hill", not actual blocky squares.

  7. Hello again Maybe some of you remember me. I had to stop my site, because i lost my job and started my own business, which was very hard because i needed all my time building up my business. I decided to took the site offline, but it will be back within the next few days i think. I never forgot this project and you guys, i sometimes visited this forum to see what is going on. Today i played a while, now on OS X 10.6.8, sound is not working here, but ok. I wonder why it is not possible to play in a window or leave the game for a while to check some mails, is there any trick? Thanks

  8. i think you should name some of the cheats after the various alpha and beta modes (so one of them could be "argonaut" and maybe reveals all water on the map). perhaps you could name others after movies or books set in the period, so maybe one cheat could be "this is spartaa!!" and gives you a bunch of spartan hoplites, or another could be "videssos" after the harry turtledove series (which focused on pre-byzantine romans being transported into a fantasy world analogous to the byzantine empire) and maybe give you some kind of fantasy creature (i actually havent read the book, so that would require a bit of research). internet memes would be good inspiration, too; i always thought it was awesome that the instant win cheat in empire earth was "all your base are belong to us" aside from that, id look at all of the other AOE games for ideas for cheats. after all, 0ad is pretty much the spiritual successor to the AOE series
