ZajferX Posted December 18, 2012 Report Share Posted December 18, 2012 Hi ppl!Yes as the title states i am new to 0 A.D. but since i saw the game in my Ubuntu dist (which i have left only to go with Debian instead) i fell in love with the whole concept. And now i really feel a huge enthusiasm to Wildfire and the 0 A.D. game.What is there to know about me for now?Well to be honest not much but I'll lay down the basics.I am a 28 year old Swedish gamer/music producer that have during the past 15 years been on and off with game dev but only in windows, and a few years back i found android which led me to Linux where i am today. I am new to Blender in which i am trying to learn mostly to create 3D models but hopefully one day i'll be good in Blender and maybe even start using the game engine to develop my own games.What am i doing here?I am here to learn and to grow with the community and be a part of development on 0 A.D. hopefully I'll be able to contribute with something to this project.For now i don't think there is much more i need to share but if any of you have something to say pls feel free to do it below hehe / ZajferX Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ZajferX Posted December 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) I am happy to be here i actually heard about 0 A.D. very first time in Ubuntu software center while i had Ubuntu on my computer.Interests about me .. hum .. well let me think .. i am a gamer of course, i am all for open source even tho i never actually before yesterday have compiled source myself. i am a hardstyle/hardcore DJ and music producer.Been playing around with code since 1993 on low-to-non-level (it all started with my amiga 600) but mostly webdev the gamedev 3D modeling interests i have today i think have grown during the years as a gamer, always wanted to try to do my own version of a game (mod) or even my own game. My first try on an engine was DarkBASIC and i have since then tried just about any i could get my hands on to find one i like and thereby i found Blender which is the 3D modeling tool and game engine i have decided to work with from now on.As i wrote earlier i am a gamer, yes that is true and my fav category without a doubt is RPG i found my live in RPG with games like Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, dungeon seige, Neverwinter Nights and Fallout of course but as a game i am not much for the whole deal to play with others (i guess it is my lone-wolf personality that makes it so) and when it comes to RTS i guess it was AoE that started it all for me i fell in love with AoE and have tried many other RTS after that.School was never my strong-suit so i have not much of an school education (most of what i know i know tnx to internet and books), Right now i am working in admin on an moving/warehousing/cleaning company in Sweden.And i forgot to mention that i am an Android N.E.R.D. i just love that @#$% .. have now an 3 year old Samsung Galaxy i9000 and in 2013 will buy the SGS4 and my costume ROM right now is "MIUI.JB.I9000.2.12.14.Multi"if there is anything i have left out or anyone want to know more just post and i'll do my best to answer Edited December 20, 2012 by ZajferX Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We generally speak in english, but they try to teach me some swedish as well xD (I totally love sweden by the way)Anyway dutch (one of the three official languages in Belgium, and the one I've grown up with) ressembles swedish enough to understand about half of the words in an average swedish news article (or Harry Potter 1 xD) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
