It might avoid an issue (if there is something in a new version that doesn't work with your computer), but it's not going to fix it So please report what happens first so we can try and find the error. Please create a new topic in this forum: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/forum/378-bug-reports/ and include the log files (see http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths for where to find them), as well as a description of what happens.
