AlexHerbert
Hi, I’ve noticed a problem with the LocalRatings mod. I have two different partitions on the same machine, each with its own 0 A.D. installation, and LocalRatings shows different statistics in each one. Before formatting one partition, the mod showed +200 played matches (I've played even more). After formatting and reinstalling, it now only shows around 40 matches. This suggests that stats are stored locally and are lost after reinstalling, which can be confusing. Is this expected behavior, or is there a way to preserve/sync the LocalRatings data? Thanks. Where do you expect them to be stored ? The only cloud localratings is https://replay-pallas.wildfiregames.ovh/ Else as the name implies the stats made from the replay are stored locally. Also depending on how you run the game e.g with -writableRoot the locations change.
AlexHerbert
Thanks for the clarification. I didn’t realize LocalRatings stats are fully local and depend on the writable root (e.g. -writableRoot). That explains the different stats across partitions and after reinstalling. It might be useful to document this more clearly, as it can look like inconsistent behavior from a user perspective. Thanks.
0 calories
the LocalRatings system is based on the games you (the mod user) have played: the rating of a player is only determined by the replays stored on your computer of games played with/against that player; source: https://gitlab.com/mentula0ad/LocalRatings/-/blob/master/ABOUT.md Yes it is documented even better then clearly... Too lazy to lift a cushion, let alone find a remote.
AlexHerbert
Still not accurate. It will show different stats to every person.
