feneur
On Windows they can be found in: %appdata%/0ad\data\screenshots and on other operating systems they can be found in: ~/.local/share/0ad/screenshots

Pureon
yeah, all 3 versions of the Celt Market are in the editor under the "Actors" menu.Brilliant! I was hoping old building models would still be available to use as eyecandy in scenarios/screenshots To be honest? I adore the Murus Gallica Murus Gallica? I didn't know it was called that! plumo did you use any historical site as a basis for your fortification layout? Mythos_Ruler
Even if some of the actors don't exist, some of the meshes will still be there.
plumo
It's actually Murus Gallicus ( my mistake) ( as described by Julius Caesar, ..)No, it is not based upon a historical site. It's also not even placed up on a hilltop, the celts usually did for strategic reasons ( first time i ve used the Atlas editor, next time ill try and make a real oppidum)The celts also used pallisades, i hope they will be included as well ( or made by community), as a fast and easy way of defense. Pureon
The celts also used pallisades, i hope they will be included as well ( or made by community), as a fast and easy way of defense. If they haven't already been included post me some images of suitable palisades and I'll add it to my list of things to build. I agree it wouldn't be a historical RTS without them!
plumo
Personally I think there are different options : ( of course we need them all )1. Murus Gallicus (existing model) with 'woven' "crenalations"http://www.google.be/imgres?imgurl=http://...iw=1280&bih=675Some very nice concepts on this website !!2. Regular Palisade (wood)3. Combination: Low stone wall with Palisade top. ( see link)http://www.google.be/imgres?imgurl=http://...iw=1280&bih=675 Edited October 19, 2010 by plumo
Mythos_Ruler
Yeah, if anyone wants to build those models that would be great. http://www.baueda.com/plastikornar/20mm_buildings.htmlI'd be more than willing to throw them all into Atlas if the geometry and mapping are good. buggy123
almost done with the tree (at least one version.) btw how much polies?
Mythos_Ruler
Keep it under 200 if you can. How many is it right now?If it's a little bit over, then that's okay, because Acacia trees will be spread out across the map--there generally won't be too many of them on-screen at once. buggy123
1st draftok that's what I have now.400 verts (250ish from trunk which I'm considering to remodel. and 160 from the quad planes of the leaves. which I can cut down to 100)so yeh, feedback on how I can fix it p.s. how about texture sizes? and game supports alpha maps right? Mythos_Ruler
Alpha channels are supported yes. Keep the leaf and bark textures at 128x128 a piece or 256x256 if combined.
jesus
excuse me the delay.jesus, are you able to work on the Acacia's canopy?do you mean the texture? Or the top of the tree?
Pureon
It looks like buggy123 is now working on the acacia tree, so don't worry about my comment jesus. The way these guys have built canopies is by using multiple layers of flat polygons that as a whole make the canopy. It relies on the texture's alpha channel to create individual leaves. NOXAS1
Northern Africa is not much of a savannah, especially not in the ancient Period. But the setting allows for awesome Zulu or Ethiopian mod factions. So I am very happy to have this.Btw is there any possibility to get some additional biomes (or factions, for that matter) in future alpha releases?Just like to say that a cool mod for the Zulu's would be them against the Boers and British troops. I've heard of Zulu warriors fighting men in Tanks and actually winning. Forgot where I read or heard it. but yeah it'd be cool even if it was just the Zulu
