Mythos_Ruler
A Macedonian attack is countered by the the local Persian Satrap's levies. Supported by archers and skirmishers, contingents of Median Sparabara hold back the Macedonian center, while Persian Anusiya, and Light Median Asabari begin to encircle the attackers. However, a fierce counterattack by a squadron of Macedonian Hetairoi on the Persian left threatens to break their Double Envelopment maneuver. The Persians have the upper hand, but the outcome is still in doubt!Click above to view October's screenshot in 1600x1200 resolution! menganito
Quite nice, only the horses seem to be a little low-polygoned... But I just love the hung roofs on the marquises (hope it's the right word:D) and also the shadows of the spears (but could you make the shadows genrally mor blurred at the edges? One question: what are system requirements at this point(i. e. what machine you use to make the screenshots at?) Cassador_Chris
Where are the Sparabara? I see the Anusiya, and I'm guessing the cavalry units are Median Asabari. But my source shows Sparabara as having large pavice-like shields and spears. I don't see any units fiting that description, so could you point which ones are sparabara? Mythos_Ruler
Cassador_Chris, currently the Sparabara in the screenshot have the figure 8 Persian "Gerron". Before release we'll have an actual Persian tower shield in their hands in one form or another.
Guardian
the units look so crisp and good! I'm highly impressed! The buildings look sooo good!I highly suggest you add bloom effects! It'll hide inadequacies in your system (such as the low polygon horses someone noticed).ADD A SPECIAL ABILITY FOR FIRE ARROWS:p

feneur
Hello ozmichael! At the moment you can't play the game, we're still developing it. Be sure you'll find info on how to get the game the day it's released though. Until then there's a lot of things you can do on this site, not only can you watch screenshots and concept art, but also read a lot of interesting history articles on this period of time. Not to forget the forum where you can take part in the discussion and meet members of the team as well as the great community interested in the game and its development. Kennylz
I love the buildings and the scenery. The units are nice. The ones that stand out to me are the Persian javelin throwers, and the Greek units.

HG-Alex
Looks fantastic! Is it normal for the units to fight in formations such as this or were they specially set up in the editor?
Mythos_Ruler
To be honest this is an editor shot. However, the units are really fighting. The editor (Atlas) has a "simulation" feature that allows the designer to set up battles and run the simulation and watch the men fight it out. One can pause, go slow or fast, and reset the action. In-game, units WILL fight in formations when tasked to.
