  1. what do you mean with that? Sounds strange.

Maybe it would be better when you have to make your name readable when you give a neg. reputation.

I just mean that if so little negative reputation is given, and we complain about it when we receive it, positive reputation loses all its meaning, IMHO.

  2. I was here when TLA was born :muaha:

In other words, I found about Josef Bugman's mod in AOKH and came here when it was still a mod. Then I focused on 0 A.D. for some time, until TLA became a full game project, and I was kind of absorbed into it without even noticing. The way I became a team member was rather informal :D

  3. American "unilateralism" is the consequence--not the cause--of the diminished power of the other nations.

    I agree with this.

The only power that has been diminished is the USSR. Without the USSR, America would have acted like this right after 1945.

  4. This is a good idea. Overall, I think a single pinned thread would be enough.

I don't think I'd participate, though, other than by reading. It's hard enough to write coherent posts in English, let alone compose poetry! However, depending on what I see, I might do something for the sake of participation and encouraging others to do the same.

  5. Guardian, targetting civilians is never justified. If the suicide bombers attacked military personnel only, few people could condemn it. You say that's the only thing they can do; yet up to 1993 (I think), they fought Israel without suicide bombers. I, personally, think that the creation of Israel was an error, based on the fact that European countries didn't recognize Jews as a real part of their population, but as foreigners, no matter how long their families had been living there. But now, millions of Israelis have been born in Israel. Are they guilty of whatever you hold against the founders of Israel? Simply, they aren't. Therefore, kicking them out would be an atrocity.

  6. From right to left, of course. It's a bit confusing with this Western software, but it's easy to get used to all the oddities. If I were home I'd write something in Hebrew too (public computer = no way to have Hebrew fonts + keyboard set)

    Happy birthday, Aviv!

יום הולדת שמח (Transliteration: yom hulédet samé'akh

so when a vowel is pronounced before a (final) gutteral, is it separated from previous vowels by a 'alef? As in mitzvae'akh (sp?)?*

*I'm transliterating the tzaerae malae' as ae, just like the tutorial I'm following does, but I pronounce it more like tzeréi malé' with Spanish-like vowels
