  1. i would like to see an info page where there is this large map of europe dotted with info links about the civs(units, buildings, attributes etc). For example to find info about Rome in 0ad you click on italy(it would say rome on it of course, to find out about the gauls, you click near france and so on:)

i would also like to the site look more like a game site rather than just any old site, like have enhanced concept pics around the site(particulary on the main page header) for example you might have a Celtic warriors profile(side of face) on the left of the page, while looking back him, a roman legionares profile is on the right

  2. Obviously im not part of the 0AD team, but i was just wandering what everyone thoughts on the subject would be. Maybe the team has already decided on the scale(tell us if you have btw) but either way i would like to know:)

i personally would like to see medium large or to scale

also will you have ships specifically for transport or can all ships transport people, (which i would like to see ;) )?

  3. i never liked how farms produce for for infinety, i liked it on the AoK ex pack where you'd have to cue the farms up. Without it, it makes eco-management to easy imo

i also liked it in EE where if you asked for help from an AI ally, he would come with whatever he could.

  4. can you add a new catagory - Ingame Eyecandy(not map editor) ? I know that this thread is all about the map editor, but i think that the ingame eyecandy should be put into the list, might as well do it here while we are talking about eyecandy:)

    Ingame Eyecandy(not map editor)

    - damage effects on buildings (the more damage the building has taken, the more beat up it looks).

    - long lasting tracks in the ground(lasting about 3-5mins)

    - Destroyed buildings(not just that crappy square of rubble you see in every game, but actual ruined buildings, eg a destroyed temple would have stone blocks scattered all around with fallen pillars and a few still standin, but brocken)

    Natural Eyecandy

    - all different kinds of animals incl. birds

    - lots of european/north african flora(trees and flours)

    - rock arches(placed on water)

    - scorched ground(eg burnt grass)

    - assorted dead/burnt trees

    - small sand wirlwind

    - water coral

    - different kinds of fish

    Cinimatic Props and Effects

    - fog

    - Ground Mist

    - avalanch(animated, has to be triggered to go off)

    - corpse - fresh, decayed, skeleton

  5. I didnt really like the borders in RoN, it was constricting imo probably because citizens couldnt build outside you territory.

C&C: RA2 has somthing like borders(you couldnt see them though), where you couldnt forward build next to an enemies main base unless you had one of those "command centre trucks"(forgot what they were called) deployed nearby. I would like somthing like that to be in the game. Maybe you could make the strategy of forward building still available but just a little harder to pull off.

"In RoN and the Empires demo, when you get to a certain age roads will appear automatically to connect your buildings and trade routes....very fun and cool altho no advantage in those games.....could this be useful??" - svede

Actually there are a few advantages and disadvantages for roads, they can lead you to the enemies main bases. Roads could also be used as a bonus when it comes to military.

maybe you could make it so walking on roads could also increase the speed of military units walking on them?
