The only 'problem' I see with these is that the basic unit would not have the breastplate and 'skirt' armour, and all would be carrying a somewhat larger diameter caetra (the round shield)... and that problem is resultant to my fault, not that of the artist.

That should read "larger", not later.

For some reason he doesn't look mean enough to me to have been Sulla, and Sulla is said to have had an almost albino-like complexion... but what the heck, he's kewl.

He sorta looks like Jesus... but that's OK because of 'the times'. Very nicely done, Shan.

Great article covering all of the civs in 0 A.D. with exception to the Iberians.

Bravo for a job well done.

Also needs the 'symbol of Tanit' on the wall near the gateway portal.
-
I would take the doorway out of the base of the rightside gate/tower though as that presents a 'weak spot'.

Having had the greatest of the city walls that were never breached, this one defintiely looks like it fills the niche.

When one recalls that the Carthaginians were Phoenicians who had LONG traded with the Egyptians and that they in turn during the Ptolemaic Dynasty were Greek/Macedonian influenced then you can see that there was an amalgamation of 'styles' likely from even the Egyptian, too.
In truth, so far as we can tell it, the Carthaginians were great 'adopters' of just about anything 'good' that they encountered during their far-ranging trading expeditions. You would expect that of merchants par excellance. It is little known but even classical Greek women's dress fashions were heavily influenced by the ancient Mauritanian mode of dressing... as adopted by the Carthaginian... and then further transported via trade to the Greek cities as 'the latest' in haute couture. So what I am wanting to say here is to not get tunnel-vision with respect to what 'may have been', these people definitely didn't live in a vacuum and perhaps less so than any of their contemporaries during their time. Michael, I think, has done an excellent job in interpreting the architecture from the bits'n'pieces that we know.
