@goldenratriophi: To the first question: I don't really understand what you mean. I think you mean why I think they are funny. It is hilarious!!!! Well actually, CodeOptimist's flame war was an exaggeration of their stupidity. Those types of flame wars will only happen when n00bs communicate. And even then it won't go that stupid. But it still is really funny. To the second question: Well there are a lot of them, but one that comes to mind is when Fun_Clan_Zero flamed Yooda about his hilarious Pegasus Rush becuause he (FunClan_Zero) was mad that Yooda's thread (Pegasus) beat his crappy thread (about Nereids). http://aom.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/...=11,0,0,0&st=90 For the flame war, start reading at post no. 95 and then continue to the end of the thread. Yeah the Aztecs were around, but they were "discovered" in 1519. AOK has some Battle of the Conqueror scenarios that go past that. PS. Europeans didn't know about them until the 16th century, not 17th or 18th

I think I disagree with basically everyone here - I like 2D graphics!!! They lag less and, while they may not look as good, they are fine IMHO. I think games shouldn't concentrate too much on graphics and looks because that concentration could be better spent elsewhere - historical accuracy, playability, balance, significance, variety, and erm... historical accuracy! 2D games can look nice too. Oh well - just opinions.

Ah. I see. It makes sense. I guess the only advantage of the Meso civs are the historically accurate time periods, but that isn't too important (well, actually I think it is quite important, but I think basically everyone except me cares about the playability and balance - not on the historical accuracy ) I must admit I do like Romans far more than American civs.

Hmm... good idea... Kindof like AOK had some civs have cheaper stuff (eg. I think Goths had cheaper infantry... or maybe it was cheaper barrackses.... no I'm pretty sure it was infantry....) You could also "steal" the one tech from AOK called Shipwright, which makes ships cheaper (ie, make a tech make units cheaper). EDIT: Oh yeah! The huns are great civs and they don't have siege onagers (or onagers for that matter)

Question: AOK's time period is after the fall of Rome, so why make Roman and Greek civs? Or did you make the "fallen Rome"?

Flaming is just insulting others, etc. It's fun to read them. They are common on aomheaven....
