  1. Playing this history-themed game, I was amazed at the first glance. When I look into the details, ah, it's first a game, then history-themed. I see there are some people posting detailed introductions about a civilisation or two, like that Kush one. As for the other, I am not sure about them. What technologies does the civilisation employ? What kind of philosophy and policies does the civilisation adopt? What kind of unique weapons does the civilisation have? Such questions are unanswered or answered with flaw in this game. I would like to know your opinion.
  2. I have found some sources saying that coals were used in Han dynasty. I am not sure about other civilisations. Maybe it can be a resource exclusive to Han in game. If coals were introduced, the demand of wood would drop significantly.
  3. I think there should be coals for producing anything related to metallurgy.
  4. Yes, I think the colour selection dropdown can be in palette shape like this, with gradual changes for nearby colours:
  5. Bring the effects of geographical features to production? E.g. as for the production rate of fields, fertile land and rivers increase it, while barren land and desert decrease it; as for the prices in corral and stable, grassland decreases them, desert increases them. In addition, weather system? E.g. Rainy weather decreases moving speed and projectile accuracy, foggy weather decreases unit sights and projectile accuracy, sandstorm weather decreases unit sights, moving speed, projectile accuracy as well as all productions.
  6. I wonder why there are no buildable bridges.
  7. There is someone who made some choices: https://sashamaps.net/docs/resources/20-colors/
  8. I see, the Han is still in progress. In Han dynasty, the standard script is the “cleric script” (隸書). It is also seen in Total War: Three Kingdoms. You can download the font on the website of Ministry of Education, Republic of China: https://language.moe.gov.tw/result.aspx?classify_sn=23&subclassify_sn=436&content_sn=49 The text “漢” on the banners on the gate, the imperial academy, etc. is in “small seal script” (小篆), which is the standard script in Qin dynasty. It is seen in the beta versions of Total War: Three Kingdoms. “大雄寶殿” means “Mahavira Hall”, which is found at Buddhist temples only, as there is no Jainist temple in China. As for the plates with text, seen at civic centers, barracks, imperial academy, wonder, etc., their first appearance is in Song dynasty (later part of Millennium A.D.), being called “pái 牌” in 《營造法式》. They are called “biǎn’é 匾額” now. The two animals at the civic center are called “píxiū 貔貅”, which are found at imperial tombs as guardians. The banner of rally point is not Chinese. , the banner is red during Hán Xìn and Liú Bāng's period, yellow during Wèi Qīng's period, probably with “漢” on it. The shields on battering rams are foreign, too. The term of temple “Sìmiào 寺庙” is used for Buddhism, while the actual temple in game is Daoist. It should be called “Guàn 觀”. The temples were not a place to provide medical assistance. There used to be some temporary official hospitals. The notion of combining religious building and hospital did not suit China. The current translation of “Imperial Academy” is modern. In Han dynasty, the imperial academy is called “Tài Xué 太學”, which was located in Chang’an. 太學 and lower-level official schools are called “Guān Xué 官學”. In these academies, only philosophy and arts are taught, which does not correspond to that military one in game. There is a “Bǎolěi” in the game. In history, it is called “Wù Bǎo 塢堡” and was not popular until Sixteen States period. Some strings are still foreign, like animal names in the corral.
  9. Atom is going to be discontinued. You can use VSCodium instead. https://github.blog/2022-06-08-sunsetting-atom/
  10. Great to see this. The focus was too much on civilisations and cultures are neglected. There can even be some new game modes, like one team try to protect some sacred buildings and the other try to destroy them. As for ancient technologies, there are some impressive ones: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_technology World History Encyclopedia: https://www.worldhistory.org/ I am currently creating a list of the texts about these cultural stuffs. You can have a look if you are interested: https://polyglotclub.com/wiki/Language/Multiple-languages/Culture/Philosophical-and-Religious-Texts I will try to compile lists of ancient technologies, thoughts, etc. to ensure the diversities of factions.
