  1. Hi Obelix...thanks for your reply...I will make another post apart for this one with more previews of all factions and the scenography where the scenario take part, explaining the concept. Let me tell you that this been a tough project, because of all the historical research I have done to make the scenario as close as possible to the real situation describe by historians about the period and the 5 main protagonist factions in the scenario. I also have learned my way across the editor, by trial, errors and experimentation. Making a map base on real geography have been thought as well, That is why the map look like a gigantic caricature of Europe and the Mediterranean Sea.As soon as it ready I will post a link, so you all can download it and play the scenario or modified to your own taste. So far, the scenario can be play as an individual solo campaign with any of the 5 main factions to choose or as a multiplayer game for 5 players. I do really appreciate your input. Thanks a lot of man.
  2. HI Grapjas, Hi Fregarach, and Hi everyone.....thanks for your reply guys, so for your help....your help is highly appreciated and always will be, so anyone's around . And yes...Grapjas, I do know he was helping me, and he did... The info that has been share, have been very useful...I just got up sad, because as I say before, I believe that any criticism or complaint should be done always in private, not in public...but well...I don't think is right to keep that theme going, it deviates the whole porpoise of Fregarach's Syracuse scenario concept here at this post, and the game itself. We all already talk about it, and what it was said is in the pass now..so I will not keep talking about it. Differences between people in public tend to build uncomfortable situations for everyone, and I don't want to be that to anyone around here, and I'm pretty sure that Fregarach and most of you guys, probably feel the same way. I will try to be more proper in the future and avoid kidnapping posts as this, that by the way, it was never my intention. Now, in regard to a Syracuse scenario..I like the idea of citizen soldiers for the Syracuse faction as it was suggested. But about their elite units....don't know what to suggest yet, No historical references have survived to this day's about the Tirant's personal guards...but the idea of making them is a good one, and an open one for any creator with a good imagination, because of not historical references about them to these days. May be thy should look like a mix between a Spartans and a Samnite...I found those Samnites to be real good as fighters, I add them to the scenario I'm working as a Gaia faction. I just would like to see more independent mercenaries units in the game that can be attached to any of the main factions in the game. I have seen the roman slaves models with swords and I love those, so the Gladiators...may be the Syracuse faction can have some units that are like a mix of the Spartans and the Roman slaves models... Just saying.
  3. Hi Fregarach, thanks for your reply... Point taken....just be gentle with me....I'm new...treat me like this is my first time......you know....I may not look like a new guy to you, because you probably have seen my few posts before, with pictures talking about the scenario I'm making, But if you check my profile, you will see that I have been around here only a few times, to see what you guys are talking about, and take tips, seen other mapmakers and moders designs....and learn....then I get exited, and go like wow...all that people most be the coolest people ever...Let me make a super gigantic map, base on the ancient world share this with the whole community...see how they react, listen at others suggestions, ideas, and then, show everyone how much they are popping my mind with all the inspiration they are providing and try to be that to others as well.... But, so far...that haven't happened... to be honest, so far, aIl the attention I have been getting came from less than 5 people, few opinions, and one guy, that seems real cool, speak Spanish gave me a suggestion about making a map for The Native Americans' civilization mod, base on the American continent, or one about Central Mexico, during the times of the Aztecs... ..(I do really love the idea, by the way, ) and then, guys like you coming publicly to help me on one side, and then publicly making me feel shame for coming to the forum to share those posts and my enthusiasm with others and with good intentions....So, please, out of courtesy, next time you feel like complaining to me, do it in a private message, When people that don't know each other personally have differences online, they should always resolve those different away from everyone, complaints and negative criticism as well... Unless you want to use me as an example to others, of what they can expect, if they become to enthusiastic on the forum, about their projects and sharing them with others, specially among new players.... Anyway, I have no negative intentions to anyone nor come to compete with anyone, just want to share and see what others are making and have fun with their mods and maps as well....I have no bad intentions for anyone here nor in the administration...I will always be courteous to you, publicly or privately, and like to resolve difference with other men in private, as gentlemen do. I'm a man of ancient times at hearth and spirit......( I'm summing that so you as well. And I don't know why you say I ask questions......I was not looking to kidnap anything....I did take the opportunity to share my enthusiasm....but braking rules was not my intention...My mistake, so sorry about that....But ....I hardly talk or ask questions here on the forum...and if I do, is because I do really need to know....or want to share and to let people know what Im doing and share it as they share themselves...with love and enthusiasm... If I ask....is because I don't know.... Not because I like to ask.... If I look for attention, it is because what I have to share is something I believe to be cool....and I believe the same go for everyone else that share as well...and to me that's great....the more , the better. if I tell you, Im new..is because I'm ....I have only 46 points...compare that to yours...or Leon...my god....I don't even know who you guys are....I do know that Leo speak Spanish and is bilingual as me... and I tell you more.....I have never played other players yet....I have played the game itself maybe some 20n times, to learn the ropes, strategies , and still learning, I have expended over 6 weeks working on the scenario, and putting as much love as you guys do, doing yours...And because I assume that everyone around here is cool and as motivate as me , I show and share what I'm doing, to see what mind alike show up, and meet others.....By the way, so far ..to be honest, I feel like the uncoolest guy in the forum now, because of having this talk with you publicly here.... And as you say, I'm kidnapping the forums, so your time. I feel real bad, because I assume you feel bad or uncomfortable with my presence too... Just remember, I'm new...so be gentle with me... You welcome to chat with me in private anytime...I am looking for friends...not enemies... Thanks for the Share....so your time and attention Fregarach... Peace be with you and prosperity...Bye for now.
  4. Hey Fregara, thanks for the reply,....Do I have to create a file with the name Empires at War as <yourmodfolder> and put it inside the mod folder before I make the other files??/ And then make the The \art\textures\ui\session\icons\mappreview`.), each as a folder??? or one folder for each inside another till the last file,???? And thanks once again man, Thanks a lot!
  5. I do really like your concept...I have been reading and watching videos about the Sicilian Wars , and Syracuse was a main character for centuries during that period. I am new at the game, and a few weeks after playing with it, decide to experiment and kill some time with the editor, and made an scenario myself. Is not finish yet, because I am adding a lot of detail with the landscape of the Editor engine and experimenting with the different factions for balancing. And now that you are mentioning, I like a lot the idea of Making a gigantic map of Sicily, with as many details as possible and with the city of Syracuse in all its glory. I came to the community, last month looking to hook up with people that design or have great ideas for making mods, and scenarios... The Sicilians are not a faction in the game, But it will be a great concept to add, specially with the merc citizens soldiers, that sound very interesting. Let me now what you think, So far I do really like the idea...By the way, do you know where the art/textures/ui/session/icons/mappreview files are in version 24??? I am looking for that file....Or do I have to made them. And Thanks.
  6. Saludos Lion.
  7. Hey..Just came back to tell you thanks a lot for the manual link...It does really help a lot, In 20 minutes, I have learned a lot...by the way..I allready have the Preview pick ready with the right dimensions, according to the manual you share with me on the link..., But can't find the art/textures/ui/session/icons/mappreview. I did a seach on my window 10 but the file is nowhere in my PC...so do I have to make the field??? and if I do...where do I berry it??? And thanks for your reply and the manual link.
  8. Thanks for sharing the link Fregarach. The manual you shared say that The resulting image should be placed in art/textures/ui/session/icons/mappreview, either inside the local user data (see GameDataPaths) or inside a mod (see Modding Guide) To set the preview for a map, the corresponding field ('Preview') on the Atlas 'Map' tab can be used. But I been looking for the art/ texture, session/ icon/ map preview, and can't find the file inside the Local, 0ad data file nor 0.a.d so do I have to create the file??? ...By the way here is another promo pick I made, of the mod, so you can get an Idea of how it is looking so far and let your friends know.... As soon as the scenario is ready, I will post a link so everyone that want to play or modified it to their own taste can do so...and thanks for sharing.
  9. Hi everyone..... I would like to know, How to introduce a pick of the scenario that I'm building on the previews picture section of the Atlas editor??? Here is a pick of how is looking so far. Please guys...Help me please...and thanks.
  10. The Persian Seluicides are another faction to play in the scenario. The Selucides are in to expanding their empire to the west. but they need to take on Egypt and all its treasures in order to have all the resources they will need to invade Macedon, the Greeks, and eventually the Romans themselves so anyone that try to put a stop to their Empires ambitions.
  11. The Macedonians are another Faction to play. Some 300 years have pass after the death of the Legendary Alexander the Great of Macedon. His old Empire is fragmented in to different factions fighting among themselves in order to proclaim themselves as the legitimate successors of his Empire. In The Anatolian Peninsula the Persian Selucides are now in charge of what its been the old empire, and in Egypt the Ptolomean Kingdom rule supreme. In the west, The Roman Republic have declared itself a protector of Athens and they are now allies, becoming a treat for the Macedonians ambitions. But not everything is loss. The Illirians and Spartans have become it's allies are ready to join the fight for Greece, all the Balkan Kingdoms and if everything go according to plans. The whole world.
  12. The Gauls are another of the mainstream protagonist in the Scenario. They start with a town in Holland, and two other Celtic towns as allies. One is in modern what is suppose to be Belgium in the map. and another one in southern Britain. The Britons are included in the scenario as allies of the Gauls.
  13. The Carthaginians are one of the mainstream factions in the scenario, The start with a huge walled city in the North African savanna, and a some colonies pread across the Mediterranean, Southern, Spain and Sicily. They also have the strongest navy in the region.
  14. The Iberian Peninsula. In the Empires at war scenario, Carthage invaded the Iberian Peninsula and control the South of the Peninsula from their city of Cadiz, but it will not be an easy task. The Roman Republic have become an ally of the Iberian fortified town of Tarrasco, and of Two Old Greek colonies in the northern region of the peninsula. In the western mountainous northern region, the Iberian tribes lurk in the mountains, maintaining a strong and powerful presence in the region that is as much of a treat to Carthage as to the Romans, and it's allies.
  15. Just came to share some previews about how The Empires at War scenario is doing so far...by the way... How do I introduce a pick of the scenario on the previews picture section of the Atlas editor??? If anyone knows...please let me know and thanks.
  16. I have been watching your video about the mod..and love the concept... I have also been working on one like yours, base on Europe and the Mediterranean. Been 2 months designing it, and planing to make a lot more, all base on real Historic battles and real geographical places. When is that your mod is going to be ready??? I want to download it and check it out...and it will work for version 24??? Because that is what I have so far. Here is a preview of mine.

  17. I like your mod...love the music too... ...I have been playing like for 5 months now, and decide to make a scenario too.. At first, It was design for 8 players, but issues with the population, and the game freezing, forced me to make it for 5 players instead, with the other factions becoming buffer states...As you, I am also working on a scenario base on the map of Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. I have named O AD Empires at War... Hopefully it will be published soon.. here is how is looking so far.
  18. Hi Yekaterina. ( Kate) didn't know you were a lady, sorry about that. I am from Miami, Florida.
  19. Hi Yakaterina, I like it, cool concept.... Just one small suggestion on the Thracians...make all the roofs of all buildings, the same color... About those Illirians, I think that those guys did some piracy for some time under a Pirate queen, I watched a Kings and Generals video in Youtube, telling the story.... It will be great to make an scenario base on that war... The Roman Republic end up sending an Army to Illiria to get them.....anyway...is looking nice.... I like them.... .I am new to the game, and fallen in love with the Atlas Editor. Been playing and experimenting, learning and at this moment, working on a Scenario, that I have been going around showing to other players here on the forum, for the last few weeks...to see if anyone with experience at modding, or designing scenarios can help me polish it, either by testing, or by programming, or art design... I named 0 AD Empires at War, and is for 8 players or one or a few players against the Al....the scenario is base on the central European and Mediterranean world, and look like a Huge caricature of all that region, is a gigantic map, and have the 8 main civilizations of the age that tend to be the most popular or mainstream, or most History books. I have the Illirians and Pirrians as buffer states in the scenario, so a few Gaul tribes spread across what is supposed to be France, Germany and the low countries... I don't have the Thracians because I understand they were Macedonians or very closed related to that civilization, and are therefore well represented by the Macedonians, Someone should make the Germans, some day...anyway...... I do really like what I see on those pictures of your mod and would like to add those 2 to the 0 AD Empires at War scenario...what can you tell me about them as civilizations in the game,????? what kind of tech and military powers make them exalt as a Civ in the game????? And where can I download them??/ link please...... By the way, I want to take the opportunity to tell you that, a few days ago,I got in communication with one of your top modder's team members from the forum, but the man look very busy.... and he hasn't written me back...and I don't want to bug him neither.... But I do really want to let you know...that I'm looking for someone to help me polish the scenario for testing, fix any bugs, and for publishing on line, so people from all over the world can play with it.... In my personal life I am a Commercial graphic designer and have my own print shop ( close now by the way...because the virus) so I have been like a month working on the design of the map and have a few Ideas about the concept...that constantly change...but....I'm learning as I go.......and I do reckon that I do really need someone that know his ways around the game...for real man.... and know it's design engine, programming, triggering, and have a huge imagination... bigger and better organize than mine....mine is insane....LOL........so you know, to make it happens.... I'm putting a lot of love on it, man, for real......I do really think it will be a great Scenario because it will be educational for it's histical content, for all players from the start. Players will start with some buildings and units in the regions that really represent that region of the world....and a map like this one...if is done right by the right people...will kick ass....I'm sending you a preview...take a look and tell me what you think....what can make it better??....if you like what you see....let me know...and let's make it happens, tell some of your brothers at the forum about it..in case you can't, is cool with me...may be one or a few of your brothers may do...let them know........ and thanks for your time and attention Yakaterina....that name of your sound cool..where you from???? Here is a small preview of how is looking so far....thanks.
  20. My Top RSG have been Age Of Empires, Rome Total War, and Warhammer 40, Down of war, first series...with the Ultimate Apocalypses mod...and now post 2020, 0 AD because of the constant evolution in to making it better by its own community... I. find that fact about 0 AD, something very cool.
  21. Hi, I would like to see a faction representing the Ilirians, The Pirrians, the Numidians, The Phoenicians, and the Germanic tribes...I Like the Gauls and Britons, but I also would like to see the Germans as well as their own faction in the game,
  22. Cuales son los herrores que consideras que se pueden mejorar con la facción Ibérica??? Te pregunto por qué estoy aprendiendo a jugar con ellos y con los Persas y Macedónicos.
