I disagree, Ñoldorin and Quenya were somewhat different. I have a wonderful book about that ... true that they could understand one another but there were dialectal differences ... I will try to get to that book in my drawing-room ... which is in a darn mess !!!!

I should not rejoice of the Kinslaying at Alqualonde but

"Flight of the Noldoli" - as Fëanor's Noldor, you slay the Teleri at Alqualondë after building up some military force and take their boats, where you burn them at Losgar.

Yehey !!! :D Feanor will be in a tutorial at least !

How about placing a picture of Feanor on the right hand side corner telling you what the good technique is or what to do in case of attack, etc ? ... like the §#@%&$ little dog that is "trying" to help you on Microsoft Word ...

If you want guys, I can send you a picture of myself, to take as a model for Feanor :)

    yet,

but a campaign as Melkor would be interesting to - escape, find ungoliant, destroy the trees, then raise Angband and once again Utumno,

 BOOOOH !!!! Shame on Morgoth :D ... (please do not mention his former name ...) ! BOOOH !!!! :D

    He is just a thief !!! :o

Dont take any of this very seriously, I was just kiddin' of course !!!!! :D

    @ Sukkit

Did you get that from the site? Because that's not pure Quenya.

Really ? I can give you the Etymology if you want ... Curufinwë was Feanor's "father name" ... that is to say, his "official" name ! Whereas Feanor was only his "mother name" as explained in Laws and Customs ... or in The Shibboleth of Feanor published in Mallorn in 1992 from the Tolkien Society.

Now, Curufinwë come from the root CURW- which means "skill" and from Finwë which is his father's name. Then, I think no need of explaining Feanor ... Feanaro is Ñoldorin, Feanor in Quenya.

Then, Finweion is based on the Quendian suffix -ion meaning "son of" as in Eldarion ...

So, if you can prove me wrong Sukkit, I would be very pleased but honestly, I doubt so ... :D

3 times for me ... once in French (for the premiere) in a theatre full of French people who cannot understand a word of English ... and twice in English ... in a theatre full of French people who cannot understand English but who can read French subtitles ! :D

And I have to say I liked the second viewing (i.e first viewing in English) more than the first viewing (in French) ... and I even prefered my second viewing in English rather than my first viewing in English, which was my second viewing overall the three viewings in different languages !!!! :D

Breaching walls too B) ... yet, I guess there will be Rams also to breach walls ... but I do not see what would the other use be ... maybe carrying troops, as the Romans did. Possibly but I see Siege Towers more as a sort of powerful slow thing, difficult to destroy and yet, easy to shoot ... isn't that complicated ? :(

    PS : Aztec_Brave, yes, you are sort of a killjoy ! ! ! ! ! B) (JK)

quite in relation to the thread topic, I wondered if basic Orcs and basic Men or Noldor for instance will "come to life" in the same span of time ... let me explain.

You said that for 1 Elf, probably a few Orcs will be needed ... but will Noldor Units take more time to be trained than Orc Units ? and, therefore, will basic Noldor Units have more "life points" than basic Orc Units ? Otherwise, it might be a bit unfair for porr little Orcs ...

I agree with Black Night ... best HoME to me is Peoples of Middle Earth ... well, it depends on what subject you are interested in ! I guess if you want to know more about Hobbits or Third Age, better avoid Peoples of Middle Earth !! Yet, for what I prefer, that is to say the languages, I think it is an amazing piece of reading ! B)

is it possible to update the classification of Ranks ... it seems Edhel or Maia do not exist anymore ... thanks B)

PS : you can delete this post if you wish ... I just didn't know where exactly to ask you about it. Sorry !

Okay, I am so useful to this forum actually ... right, brother ? ... or should I say HALF-brother ! B)

Adam should be Manwë ... the chiefs of the Valar ...Eru made him ... and he is possibly the most powerful and the wisest ...

Then, maybe TLA staff could use Ainur names ... I wonder if there is a Varda or Yavanna B) That is really missing ;)

  10. ;)

Well, at first I was interested in religion in the Books ... but it came to my mind that maybe the game "academics" B) had found something I had not found myself ... that is why I asked B)
