  1. I think LordGood could probably make this game by himself. Seriously, do you just blink and models appear? I really like that palisade variation. It would be pretty cool for different civs to have slightly different palisades.
  2. I really like Melqart, but this is the release where the Mauryans will be fully playable, so my vote goes to Magadha.
  3. Even with WebGL, this just wouldn't work. Yet. It would be really cool though. WebGL is, IIRC, roughly OpenGL ES, so we could probably reuse some of the Android port.
  4. Cool! Thanks. I really like the colored counters, but they're kind of aggressively bright right now IMO.
  5. Short answer: You can't. Long answer: Translation support is coming in beta.
  6. I like Megas, only we've done a lot of Greek. Maurya is appealing.
  7. LordGood that's beautiful! Are you a professional? EDIT: I just saw this of yours. You are quite literally the best 3D artist I've ever seen.
  8. I would probably put the icons before the numbers, for consistency with the resource icons.
  9. Enrique, the Roman Entrenched Army Camp is missing rubble. Unless that counts as a special building and needs special rubble, it could just use fortress rubble, right?
  10. It was me that suggested that based on the following observation: Load Median Oasis 4. Open the developer overlay and reveal the map. Move the camera to AegisBot's base and wait until it kills the sheep. The error immediately appears. As further confirmation, I made a version of Median Oasis 4 with all the sheep belonging to Gaia, and played it without any errors.
  11. I like it a lot. Amazing work LordGood! If any details would be removed, I'd say get rid of the decoration on the doors. It looks a little weird with an undecorated wall.
  12. I would appeal to as wide an audience as possible. The game isn't very graphic at the moment and I have no problem with my 11 year old brother playing it. Bare breasts might change that, on the other hand the people are pretty tiny and the bikini bra isn't much better. I'd still err on the side of conservative and keep it. The swastika is historically accurate and probably won't turn many/any players away. If it's legal, I'd say keep it.
  13. Unfortunately I'm unfamiliar with Praetorians. Honestly, using birds to spy seems overly complicated and frankly somewhat ridiculous.
  14. +1 to territories. I've never played any other RTS games to compare it to, but I really like 0 A.D. the way it is. I don't want its gameplay to devolve to seeing who can rush the fastest or who has memorized exactly where to build everything and what to train when without even thinking or who knows every single unit's stats by heart. I think 0 A.D. should be about who has the best battle strategies and smart tactical maneuvers: that's what a real-time strategy game is about. It's not a real-time clicking game. The gist of it that territories, IMO, help keep the game strategic instead of mindlessly repeating the best build sequence.
  15. Their melee attack can only be used on animals. We might as well take this away since we now have a slaughter attack, unless we want females to be able to hunt non-domestic animals. Technically, the female attack can also be used on: All animals, including wolves, bears, elephants, whales, etc Other females Traders All siege weapons (including Helepolis), packed and unpacked All ships o_O The unused Hellenic slave Priests See https://dl.dropbox.c...0of%20Women.pmp and https://dl.dropbox.c...0of%20Women.xml (For some reason the forum doesn't let me attack pmp files).
  16. Zoot: I believe all females have a melee attack of 6 hack. It's how they kill animals. Spartan Women should have a small ranged attack (so symbolize throwing stones or something).
  17. Thanks for the clarification. I'm still slightly confused about the hero chariot though; will Acharya Chanakya have a chariot? On a similar vein, in the Mauryan Civ Profile it says for Ashoka the Great: Currently he's a cavalry lancer, is that temporary or does the civ profile need to be updated?
  18. Spahbod covered all of these pretty well, but I'll elaborate a bit. Particularly, if you just need a pure transport ship, merchant ships are pretty cheap and can carry up to 15 people. Light Warships can carry 20 (IIRC). Medium Warships can carry 30 or 40 (depending on civ), and Heavy Warships can carry 50 but are only available to the Romans and Carthaginians. Spartan female citizens will be able to fight back against invaders (it's currently implemented in SVN). Mauryan Maiden Guards will be in Alpha 12 (and again are already in SVN).
  19. Tech pairs should take care of that; e.g. choosing between faster construction of buildings (at the expense of health) and greater building health (at the expense of build time).
  20. For details, see http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16743 That should answer most of your questions. The main benefit is that it could be captured (not necessarily destroyed, but captured like livestock and females) before it reached the intended destination.
  21. I really like those Enrique. I'd say gold for the chariot details. But wait, I thought the Mauryans only had a champion chariot. Do they get a hero chariot and citizen soldier chariot also?!
  22. I think the caravan tribute option would make for really good gameplay. We should decide what to do based on gameplay, not how hard it is to program. Besides, I don't think caravans would be too hard.
  23. Because, after all, pigeons are excellent at gathering intelligence. ...I'm not following you.
  24. Perhaps. I'm still adverse to the idea but being able to capture a caravan full of resources that someone else has gathered is a bit appealing. Either way, I strongly vote for the caravan for tribute.
