I don't think that was me.

For example here's the wooden design below. When they were cutting through the rock they kept the design. Even though adding those 'spine' looking things are probably useless for support. If these reliefs and rock cut arts didn't exist. We would be clueless about how things would've looked back then. They give you a good idea..
-
I understand why he put that there. Because of rock cut art like this. When they were cutting through the rock, they designed it like they would've done with wood, or other materiels. So it gives clues into how a palace or whatever could have looked it. <--- But would they put a grand arch in a fort?? That's up to the artist's interpretation. I believe these are done by the Maurya's successors Sunga, Satavahana both of which carry on the Mauryan style.

Looks awesome Enrique.

Balconies were used more to look out, shoot, etc. Not really man. You'll need to use your imagination and use the designs from the reliefs when making it. It looks good now except the medieval looking towers in my opinion. Do you mean the coloring on the building on the right? If so, I like it. It's similar to the coloration found on buildings on the Chanakya show.
-
Those are actually gates with the army exiting/entering the city. But the arch designs and stuff could be useful in making the towers. You can see tower designs in these images. reliefs Drawing. Tower on the left. I dont really see it incorporated into any buildings though like the medieval ones. These towers seems to be like stand alone.
-
The designs here will be useful.

amazing, but the center one is a little medieval. It reminds me of the towers in red fort. Or other Indian medieval forts.

Red Cliff. The Chinese movie, three kingdoms era. -
There is an image like this showing the different arch types on the internet. Showing the different designs in different dates like with the stupas above. It would make sense to you guys If I can find it. Mauryans had a thin design like this mostly. The earliest form. Later these archs evolved and became more elaborate and thick. these arches above are Gupta period I believe. Good example
-
^^^^^^^^ I may not be explaining it right, but these 'thick' arch designs are from later dynasties.(Mauryan's successors) Here is an example of 'thin' ones below. Rock cut directly from the Mauryan period. Not from their successors. reliefs from their successors. Still used the design from time to time. thin The top arches are thinner, bottom arches are thicker.

interesting image guys Figure 5. A conjectural reconstruction of a wooden chaityagriha (from Percy Brown’s Indian Architecture, 1942) Pillar capital from Maurya palace in Pataliputra, Patna, Bihar, India, ca. 3rd century B.C.

That's beautiful... I just want to say try to use thinner arches for this period. Not so much of the thick ones, because it's a later style. But If you guys choose not to, that's ok.

In terms of architecture, kinda. Gupta stuff is a later evolution of Mauryan(and its successors) stuff. It's more intricate. But Guptas relied heavily on things like heavy calvary. And chariots were pretty much gone. It was influenced by Central Asian military concepts. Gupta coins. -
I just think it looks weird how it curves. Btw, you guys should add these shields. "a"

This will be hard.. I'll re-post some stuff I've posted. Sanghamitra(Ashoka's daughter) goes to Sri Lanka A double masted ship, Satavahana era. Not much detail, but it looks like a large/medium sized double masted ship. http://tech.groups.y...gy/message/3343 Double masted ships from Javaese reliefs. I believe it's Indian influenced, but it's at a very later era(8th,9th). Could be useful though. Smaller ships from that era. More

I agree. Maybe it's because of the new AI. I haven't played with the older one yet.

The new AI is a beast.

Cool, thanks.
