    GLSL Errors

    I get this in the main log when I run 0ad alpha 11 wih GLSL on. (My GeForce 7600 supports OpenGL 2.0) Here's some of my config file:
  3. Thanks! It would have taken me nearly forever to make a texture like that. I'll get right to work re-mapping my fishing boat.

  6. Mapping normally takes quite awhile for me too but this one is coming along pretty quick. I'm about 1/4 done mapping using the existing textures. What I was thinking was to map the boat and most of the props using the existing textures and map the sail separately, as a prop. But If you have the time I would love a separate texture! It makes things so much easier.

  8. I agree, but I'm going to see what I can do with the existing textures first. Do you have any comments on the model? I'd be happy to modify it if you have any suggestions. ---EDIT--- I just looked at the existing textures and is it possible if you could add a fish texture next to the other food textures on maur_struct_b that I could use for my crates?
  9. Unfortunately I don't have blender (I found it way to confusing). The picture is from in Sketchup. On another note -- are the Mauryan textures finalized yet? Should I just use the latest textures from the SVN or are these still going to change?

  11. Looks good! There was only one thing I noticed, on the first barracks the block texture doesn't line up with the stepping of the battlements.
  12. If you want to send me the skp files I have Sketchup Pro which exports nicely into 3ds Max and 3ds Max exports nicely into 0ad.
  13. Even though many of my computers would be disadvantaged by this update, I have to agree. This is the most important reason for me, Windows XP will be losing support from Microsoft soon, when it loses support many people will upgrade to Windows 8. Windows 8 uses a software based renderer for GPUs that never got drivers outside of XP. This software based renderer only supports OpenGL 1.1 which the game already does not support. These people could never run 0ad anyways. So my point is that the 1-3% of people with old hardware is going to go down to around 1%. which makes supporting them totally unworthwhile. If this update is completed is it possible that at least a basic software renderer could be thrown in with 0ad so it can still run to some extent on older hardware? Also would this update keep support for OpenGL 2.0?
  14. Alright I've got a quick update for today: Pea**** head carving with re-done bow. Ropes with tie-downs. Taller mast and slightly higher sails. From my view, I still need to add a steering oar for the hull/sail assembly, add a few props, and re-texture for the model to be complete. Tell me what you think (Second picture is a 3ds max rendering and the first is a Sketchup screenshot. **Textures are only Representative**)
  15. I think having a variance of different houses would be good, maybe two upper scale houses (probably the houses already modeled would work for this) and one lower scale hut-type house.

  17. But why would it depict a horse? As far as I know horses were barely used by the Mauryans. So I guess it must depict a peacock, because I can't think of what else it would be if not a horse.

  19. This looks pretty similar: But truly, to me the bow in the engraving looks more like a horse head then a peacock head.
  20. "player-color sails" You took the thoughts out of my head! "bird shaped bow" I'll see what I can do, animals/people never seem to come out right when I draw them. But I'll give it a try. "player-color... railing" I'm not quite sure what you mean with this but if you mean a strip of player-color along each side, I agree! (I attached a quick 3ds max render just to give a better view of the current model)
  21. I'm not very well versed either, but I was thinking some sort of carvings/decoration on the stern and some sort of symbol on the sail. I'm not so sure about a figure head on the prow though, I think it would use a lot of polys and not be very visible in-game.(But If you feel to the contrary, feel free to say so )
  22. OK, here's the boat with new hull, it still needs some cargo props, a steering oar, ropes, possibly a person, and texturing. Again suggestions are welcome, and thank you for all the suggestions you've already given.
  23. Yes I am working in Sketchup and thanks for the suggestion but I think I will just draw the right side, select, copy and invert it using scale.
