  2. If having bigger textures would improve the terrain blending, couldn't we have an option to switch between the current textures and the proposed bigger ones? This would only be if higher resolution ground texture would degrade performance at all.
  3. I think most of that is a good idea, but many of the things in the "Physical Expansion" group should wait until at least beta. Many of the things in the "Digital Expansion" group I think would be good to work on. If an Android app with unit stats is greatly desired, I could work on one but this would mean I would be unavailable to work on modeling and texturing.
  4. How will you handle non-team member art submissions? Like a new Mauryan model or something else. Should we create a new thread for the model, or should we just post a submission inside the respective thread (like the Mauryan thread for a Mauryan model)? Thanks in advance, Josh.
  5. Awesome and Thank You! I had been using 3ds max 2011 because it wasn't importing the 3ds max 2013 files, I'll be switching now because 3ds max 2013 has better, re-designed UVW Mapping abilities. The texture mapping had been taking ~90% of of my time in making models for 0AD!
  6. An hour or two for me, I think differential patching would be great if it didn't take long to implement. The updater could get a list of new data files from the SVN and download only files with un-matching modified dates. Then it could get the binaries from wherever the autobuilder stores them using the same method.
  7. This file is of the 3ds max teapot created in 3ds max 2013 with default export settings using the FBX Plug-in version: 2013.1. When trying to load into 0 AD you get the error "Exception caught while parsing a COLLADA document from file."
  8. Do you think animated trees could make it into Alpha 11? It seems like they weren't that hard to implement.
  9. +1 I think an Android tablet port would be great, but I would rather the interface wasn't changed; Android supports mouse and keyboard and HDMI if anyone forgot.
  10. Here is a picture of a corral I've been working on: The textures on the building are a serious work in progress, I can make them look a lot better if this were to be used.
  11. Another note I'd like to add is that when exporting from 3ds max you need the older exporter(FBX Plug-in version: 2011.3.1) because 0ad doesn't support the v4.1 dae files that the newer exporter(FBX Plug-in version: 2013.1 Release (180734)) exports.
