IMHO, its the lack of morals based upon a lack of a focus on the God.
Is that what brought down the Hun Empire? The Aztecs? The Incans? The Japanese? The British? The Byzantines? The Mongols? The Ottomans?

Evolution itself is not "fact" because scientific theories themselves are not "facts" but simply explanations of current evidence. A Scientific Theory is is also testable and makes predictions on what evidence we will find in the future.
"Well, there's no way you can predict what we'll evolve into in the next million years! So Evolution is false!"
The above statement and view is false. The prediction aspect is talking about evidence we will find. If we find an additional piece of fossil evidence that fits the current Evolutionary framework, or if mathmatical calculations surface that support the theory, then the predictive element is satisfied.
Just because many evolutionists disagree does not make it wrong. It simply means that evolution will seem less credible.Nonsense! What "Evolutionists" disagree about are the nitty gritty individual details, not whether Evolution happened at all! This is part of the scientific method. There will be disagreement, and there is disagreement over many things. The only people this will seem less credible to are people that don't study their science!
The great beauty of Darwin's theory of evolution is that it explains how complex, difficult to understand things could have arisen step by plausible step, from simple, easy to understand beginnings. We start our explanation from almost infinitely simple beginnings: pure hydrogen and a huge amount of energy. Our scientific, Darwinian explanations carry us through a series of well-understood gradual steps to all the spectacular beauty and complexity of life.I couldn't agree more.

As for the founding fathers, their religious preferences do not really matter... just what they wanted the government to be like. It is obvious that they wanted religion and government to be separate.
Agreed here Thug. Despite all the quotes, speeches, or letters written by our founding fathers, they are the documents called the Constitution and Bill of Rights that are we live under. These documents clearly place government seperate from religion. No amount of argument over the founding fathers' personal faith will change the clearly secular documents they wrote.

If a woman acts like a lady, then I am chivalrous. If they don't act like a lady, then I am not chivalrous. For instance, getting punched in the face multiple times by a woman means that woman isn't acting very ladylike, and I'd have the right to defend myself.

I got it from Barnes and Noble for $21.95. It's been months though, so they might not have it in stock. However, it's been a big seller over the internet. So, I'd try Amazon.com.

OMG... the demo is 500+MEGS!!! Can someone with Cable d/l the demo, burn it to CD and send it to me in the mail? It'd get here a lot quicker that way, than if I D/Led it. hehe

Being a father myself, and speaking from experience, after having your own baby, you will never hear a baby scream in the supermarket the same way ever again. At this point in your lives, you probably think, "Will somebody shut that kid up?!" After caring for and loving a baby of your own, when you hear a baby cry, it triggers something in you. It's almost painful to hear. A baby cry sows a seed of tension in your mind and you want to do whatever it takes, feed it, hold it, burp it, to make the baby happy and stop the crying. It's hard to explain, I guess. Instinct kicks in.

I thought about making one thread... but all together that'd make a couple of megs to D/L everytime someone wanted to view the thread/post a comment. I thought it'd probably be easier for forumers to view them one at a time. Humans aren't very efficient.

I forget where I got this image. I believe this is another render of the computer model used for Gladiator. Check out the shot right after the first Gladiator fight in Zucchabar. The camera spins around and around the heroes and dissolves into clouds. The shot moves through the clouds and we see a bird;s eye view of the city.

I think it's important to remember that Empires invariably lead to oppression, and deserve to "fall."
And the East was Greek Orthodox - hardly what conservative American Christians would call "christian" either.
Well, first, these societies developed social mores without the "benefit" of belief in your particular god. And we still do not know why the Mayans disappeared (although there are some credible theories), let alone the state of their morality at the time! The Romans founded their empire on backstabbing and (jn your view) immorality. Emperors as early as Tiberius were depraved and cruel. Eventually the problems of governing such a vast empire caught up with them. In regards to Greeks, which "downfall" are you describing? There was no true Greek Empire, and if you are talking about the post Alexander kingdoms, they all either fell from internal oppression, or external invasion. Yet, none were truly "Greek Empires" or Nations. Greece proper always remained semi-independant until the sacking of Corinth and Athens by the Romans (who were just too powerful to resist).
There are many reasons for the fall of empires and individual nations, but to prescribe "lack of morality" to all of them is at best incorrect, and at worst, deceitful.
