  1. This computer: AMD Athlon 2600 processor 512MB SDRAM memory ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256MB grafx card
  2. A Macedonian attack is countered by the the local Persian Satrap's levies. Supported by archers and skirmishers, contingents of Median Sparabara hold back the Macedonian center, while Persian Anusiya, and Light Median Asabari begin to encircle the attackers. However, a fierce counterattack by a squadron of Macedonian Hetairoi on the Persian left threatens to break their Double Envelopment maneuver. The Persians have the upper hand, but the outcome is still in doubt! Click above to view October's screenshot in 1600x1200 resolution!
  3. We'll definitely have at least 1 female hero (Boudicca for the Celtic Britons), and many variations of female citizens for each of the 6 civs. If we use the Sarmations in Part II we can possibly have random female variants of a few units.
  4. Well, the proper quote from Leonidas is "hades."
  5. Given that we're a hobbyist/Indie developer, expect development to take 2-3 times longer than a full time commercial AAA title. Age of Mythology and Age of Empires III took 3 years each to complete (from prototyping to gold).
  6. I like some suggested: "On my signal, unleash hell," is a good one. Maybe we can use "Hades." "Spartans! Tonight! We dine! In Hades!" "Our arrows will blot out the sun!" "Then we shall fight in the shade."
  7. Well, even if we do implement the idea as planned, we'll still pre-package some "custom" units and objects with the game. We already have a custom dragon in the game.
  8. Confirmed: Feature planned. Not implemented yet.
  9. He raffled off the Trojan Suit. Tickets were $1. Proceeds go towards the next version of the suit. Looks totally badass. Definitely the next evolution of the combat soldier, especially if it's as cheap as he says. Like the Hoplites of old, men will have to train quite a bit with this armor on, perhaps even exercise in it to become fully conditioned (Hoplitodromos?), but the good thing is the armor ways a fraction of the old bronze hoplite armor. I can't wait to see the video of him testing it on an IED.
  10. All good ideas presented here. As far as Mythological units go: No plans are set, but I intend to have at least a FEW myth or fantasy units represented in the editor, at the very least to show what is capable through modding, but to also make it possible for designers to make interesting custom scenarios straight out of the box. I like the Colossus idea, but he'd be Bronze, wood, and iron (he was constructed from Demetrius's "Helepolis" afterall).
  11. Arrows will have little effect on structures. The main feature we are implementing regarding structures is the ability to capture them. To detroy a structure you'll need a siege engine.
  12. Female Citizens are standard units available to every civilisation in the game. They are specifically designed to be good at gathering resources, especially farming and foraging, while the men are designed for fighting and building. The presence of a nearby female also boosts male unit gather rates as a special ability. As far as buildings are concerned, most, if not all buildings are the same size regardless of civilisation. Now, this might change as we attempt to differentiate civs a bit. But you're right about Celts utilizing more wood as a resource and the hellenistic civs utilizing more stone.
  13. Hey Aigis. Great to have you aboard, man! Thanks for your kind words about the project. We hope we can live up to everyone's expectations! Part of me wishes we'd release ugly screenshots so we wouldn't look so good. Hehe.
  14. The Celts might prove useful in such a campaign. Also, Germans (along with Huns, Parthians, etc.) will be added in the Expansion Pack.
  15. Limited beta release most likely. Details forthcoming.
  16. Singleplayer and Multiplayer Skirmishes will be possible, as well as a couple of "Official" single player campaigns.
  17. We've now released the first official image of a Persian unit: The Anusiya! These units are Super Units for the Persian civilisation. This means they are meant for war and only war! Click below to view this latest Showcase! Please leave a comment! We'd love to hear what you think!
  18. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? My printer, when you put in a new print cartridge or reset the printer or something of that nature then goes on a very long cycle of shooting out sheet after sheet of paper, printing 1 or 2 lines of gibberish (various alphanumerics and wingdings). It's been happening for years now, over 2 different computers, so I'm not sure if its a problem with the computer or the driver that comes with Windows. Any suggestions? This thing will go through 100 sheets of paper doing this before it ultimately stops.
