The resource code was tweaked so that the resources were changed from generic "wood, stone, and metal" to tree, rock, and ore (I don't know why--I thought we had decided to stop calling it "ore" and opted for "Metal" since it was more specific and looked better [100F, 100M; as opposed to 100F, 100O]).
  2. That's pretty much how I've always envisioned walls working (click, drag, corner, drag, corner, drag, endpoint). We are (slowly) making new wall models for the Greeks (The Carthage walls are remade and ready for use in a new system), and eventually we'll remake the walls for the other factions too.
  3. What resolution do you have it in? Is it possible for you to scale it up to 1920x1080 (and then we can have smaller resolutions down from there)?
  4. IMHO, (for Aztecs) just delete a unit within the Temple's aura = favor generated.
  5. The thing is each release then should be themed in some way. Throwing cro-magnons in with the Chinese doesnt make any sense to me.
  6. To be honest, I think you should cut the number of civs to about 10: Greeks Egyptians Norse Mesoamericans (Aztecs, Mayans, etc.) Japanese Hindus Chinese Romans Celts Mesopotamians (Babylonians, Assyrians, etc.)
  7. All representation of Greek towers I have seen were rectangular, not round.

  9. Greek Wall Tower, by Brightgalrs. They're less 'Classical Age' and more 'Hellenistic Age', but that's how I wanted them and Brighty delivered!
  10. What factions have been decided upon? Perhaps the OP should be updated to reflect the latest decisions and other important info. Another thing that would help jump start this would be to try and find an artist to make a few neat models. Maybe a Minotaur and a Gryffon or something. It would bring more interest to the project. It is a trivial matter to export to Collada (the mesh must be all triangles) and into the game (just make a quick n' dirty actor) for a screenshot or two. Put them next to a few Hoplites to show some scale and what direction you're thinking of heading visually. This will show that you are serious about following through on your plans and ideas. Modding is all about follow-through. Good ideas are a dime a dozen. Good follow-through is exceedingly rare.
  11. Yeap. I added them as entities a couple days ago. They are columnar cypress trees from Italy and Greece. We probably need a few more variants if someone wants to (pretty please) model some.
  12. Been kinda messing around with the Mediterranean terrains to give them a consistent look, plus adding some other stuff. Here's what the Mediterranean biome might look like for Alpha 2.

  18. That is very true. Even COH only has "allies" vs. "axis" factions. A WWII RTS with: Germany USA Britain Russia Italy Japan China Would be awesome.
  19. Shield_Bearer modeled and UV mapped it, then exported to Collada (.DAE). I was then able to import into Max, resize to the correct size, export back to collada and into the game to make the actors and entities.
  20. I could see giving the Imperial Romans "tenements" which were apartments.
