  1. I just playtested with the new fog, and I think it actually looks BETTER than AOE3's FOW. Awesome work, Philip! And you thought it would be hard to do.
  2. You should take out the '300'-esque shields... or at least make them very rare.
  3. I love this shot. Very impressive. I can't wait to install the mod.
  4. That actually looks pretty good. Me like. Maybe a little lighter for the explored areas?
  5. Well, you don't have to use the ethnic name, but I think "High Priest" or something like that would work better than "Shaman" which has an animist overtone.
  6. You could. I'd even hazard to say you could provide me with this info in a forum message... a "Private Message" as it were. :D
  7. Like Pureon, the more I see of the graphics the less they offend my gaming sensibilities. The problem I have now, artistically, is with the floppy cartoony animations. The elephants amble around like retarded monkeys, for example, and when units die they seem to disappear within a few seconds.
  8. Need a better name for an Egyptian priest than "Shaman."
  9. It's an incremental improvement, which is always good. I suppose it could work for now until someone figures out how they do the wide blur?
  10. I get a similar error when launching the Alpha III exe (I am on Windows 7 64-bit).
  11. Perhaps player color shields. Other than that, pretty awesome.
  12. That's pretty sweet. I once designed a Greek game design with many elements taken from BfME2.
  13. It's likely if you use Windows Firewall you can easily add pyrogenesis.exe to the list of exceptions, if that is the issue.
  14. If you are host, then your friend needs to enter your IP as well. The name of the game doesn't seem to be important at this time. To find your IP, type in "whatsmyip" in Google.
  15. All of those formations will eventually be put in.
  16. My preference would be to include 100+ animal species, but we have to pick and choose. 99% of the animals we do have aren't even rigged or animated yet.
  17. I'm thinking Daedalus, myself. Good suggestion.
  18. Well, that's kind of a misconception. It's true that throughout the Classical Age Sparta never had walls, but Sparta did build walls in the early Roman age when they rebelled against the local Roman governor. I think the usurper Nabis built the walls. I am not certain. Google him.
  19. You guys need to think more like marketers.
