  1. I am excited about the type and quantity ot the development changes occurring in this next cycle for release in A19. These change will require extensive QA and we really need people to help make the release as stable as possible. So I am calling for all people interested in testing to contact me and I will be glad to help get you started and help keep the team focused. I know this is a daunting task and I want to help facilitate getting tasks assigned and collecting data that is relevant and will help give the developers the focused feedback that is needed to solve problems as efficiently as possible I will be happy to help with task organization and tracking as needed. If you are interested at forming a real QA team that will make significant impact please sign up here. QA is paramount to having a successful alpha 19. Cheers, Chakakhan

  2. Easiest way to do that would be 2 stances for that. One is used for capturing, the other for attacking. Could be combined with the capture-kill system proposed in the "should women be convertable?" thread.

  3. I'm new to this game, but I would love to see a map based on multiple countries/beginning of the South American people.

  4. Ofc speed belongs to a RTS, I didn't claim the opposite. But the more you make the game about speedy micro, the more you dumb down strategy, as there is less time left to think of plans. That said most successful competitive RTS game go that way, but it's not something I really like and I think it partly happens to appeal to players more familiar with faster paced, action-packed game genres. Repetition is inevitable as well, but mechanics such as manual or semi-manual looting seem tedious and over-repetitive to me. Handling it automatically depending on unit stance does sound better though.

  5. Playing the developer version after Itms' pathfinding branch got merged into it seems to be a good start. Afaik there a few good players willing to do so... I am a little concerned about capturing, could change current gameplay totally and will make balancing a huge task (eg should buildings be destroyable only by siege engines? And if so, will they be available earlier aso ..) Wotever, as stated, a "Call for SVN" would really help.

  6. Hmm... well, I guess to get an idea of what they should look like you can just look at the surviving gate towers of Nanjing, Beijing, and Xi'an. I thought that Song champions except Beiwei would be trained from barracks, because what's the point of dedicating a whole building to one weak militia unit? Shouldn't they be trained from the civic center instead? Maybe what we can have is fortresses for the Song, and fortified gatehouses and palaces for the Ming. Song fortress train Beiwei units, and Ming palace trains Ming champions. Such buildings and units wouldn't normally be available until phase 3 and post reform anyway.

  7. Sometímes the lag is produced by the pathfinder ( units movement calculation) not by the graphic totally.
