  1. Recently I put some effort into researching the creation of more realistic looking mountain and today I would like to publish my first results: As you can see, I focused on the middle and didn't bother too much about the sides. What do you think of this? Where and how could it be improved?

  2. I made a new texture for the Han Elite Infantry Archer and would like to get some feedback. The white archers are for comparison : This is what I used as reference: I didn't add the helmet in the reference as I can't model.

  3. The northernmost border of the Seleucid Empire, separating it from the steppe tribes and as far north as Alexander's army ever reached. It's my first 0 A.D. map, nothing very fancy as of visuals, as that's not my forte and the steppe biome doesn't help much, but I believe it plays pretty well. The AI seems to like it as well, it was tougher to beat compared to other maps I've played on SP. I also noticed an AI glitch while testing it. On one of the matches the AI built many defense towers across the northern edge of the map, while obviously none could invade it from that side. The forum won't let me upload one of the two map files, so I guess there should be some other way sharing it. Thanks to niektb for explaining how to place skirmish entities.   4. Niektb that's looking awesome, man. You're getting really good at texturing! Very sharp and clear details, the only thing I can think of to improve them is adding a little stronger wrinkle shadowing, it's a bit soft right now. Keep it up!

  5. Well, technically speaking that is part of the how-to If you're not going to participate it's pretty irrelevant exactly when something takes place. However, if/when we do something like this in the future we'll try and advertise it more in advance which should avoid any today or tomorrow or yesterday issues.

  6. It's generally really hard to cooperate with EB2 and similar projects as they work with an engine/existing game content that has got licenses which are incompatible with our licenses.

  7. It's not even been 24 hours and you've already run out of patience? To me that says enough about whether or not someone should get commit access. You're welcome to participate in the development of 0 A.D. on the same grounds as everyone else: if you're not part of the team you can still be a part of discussions and submit changes as patches, but don't have commit access to SVN.

  9. Why, you never know how things develop. Locking is no good - at least in my opinion. If the thread is forgotten no one will use it anyway. Until it's reborn.
