centoventicinque
hi everyone, frist post here i'm writing from italy and in general i'm very entusiast about 0ad , but i've to complain about an huge problem: LOW FPS . when civs grown big the game drop at 3 fps, lowering quality doesn't change it , doesn't depend on the kind of map i'm using, when i move more than 50 units happend. i've the game installed from package , is the last stable release and i'm running from an up to date archlinux x86-64 on an intel i5 3550 and a gtx 1060 with up to date drivers there are some triks for an higter and stable FPS rate ? Loki1950
This most likely a pathfinder issue as it has to keep all units in memory to calculate all there possible interactions so it gets slow. That why we recommend a population cap of about 300 total ATM. Enjoy the Choice
centoventicinque
ok, i'm reading about how the game use a cpu . single thread , this mean i need to retrive my old pentium 4 extreeme and maybe the game run smoother than the i5 3550 due to higther frequency on the single core ?
