Sturm
Hi everybody! During the last months the Windows XP has reached a level of only 5% of use, according to the StatsCounter website. And keeps falling. Windows Vista, in turn, does not even appear in a timely manner in the table below.http://gs.statcounter.com/#os-ww-monthly-201508-201608 Thus, please, let me ask two questions to the project developers: 1- What are the possible benefits to the game develop/performance if we drop the support for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 version without the service pack 1? 2- If the option to maintain support for all those older versions of Windows is still something desirable at time, which the prospect of removing support in the future? fcxSanya
It was discussed here: most likely nothing changed since then.
Itms
Hi! There is nothing that prevents us from supporting Windows XP (performance or "older" APIs) so we are not going to drop it soon. However, if at some point it holds us back, we are aware that the market share of the OS is in free fall and we will not hesitate in dropping the support Dropping the Windows 7 vanilla support is probably not a big deal either but I don't think there is a difference between W7 and W7 with SPs when it comes to 0 A.D.
