Tirili
HiThanks for the great work on this game! Here's a problem though:Whenever I move the mouse in a game, the game performance is severly reduced. The display is like freezing (only the mouse cursor itself is moving, but workers and other units stop moving). This happens even if only grass and no unit is below the path that I move the mouse cursor along. While I don't move the mouse, the game is lag-free.My system specs:Samsung Melroi R510x86_64 IntelĀ® Core2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linuxnvidia GeForce 9200 m gs4GB RAMSlackware Linux 14.1 (64bit)I don't use any composite desktop effects. The problem appears in fluxxbox even.Greetingstirili

sanderd17
can you press F11 to see the profiler, and check where the lag is happening? Is it renderer, or simulation, or something else?
Tirili
"dispatch events" is the line that gets high numbers in "msec/frame" for a short time after I stop "moving the mouse for some seconds".
quantumstate
I've seen this problem before. It is from the code which is detecting which unit is under the cursor. I think it happens more on linux because the mouse events come at a faster rate. There should be a way to speed up the code but it isn't a straightforward piece of work.
