How does one push a change ? Some modders use their GitHub repositories (e.g. 0ADMODS), some have their mod only on a local drive or their preferred cloud storage and yet other have a Gitea repo (f.e. Empires Besieged). It's impossible to give a general answer.
NiRa Muso MIOZOTO
Actually a slavery system could make more expensive units useful again in a non-violence ! 23 minutes ago, Obelix said: Some modders use their GitHub repositories (e.g. 0ADMODS), some have their mod only on a local drive or their preferred cloud storage and yet other have a Gitea repo (f.e. I think the repository you asked for is the .zip file posted by @Freagarach in the following thread: Just extract the container and you see the modded files on your drive. By changing those, zipping and uploading you're 'pushing'.
scr0llbaer
When I started playing the game I also wondered about the food icon and that it might put off some people, so, as expected. Personally I'm not vegan, but I also think, for the standard game, a wheat icon would be more representative, because arguably, most food in most cases comes from working the fields. And it's pretty standard in other games too (Civ etc). Now, distinctive colorization was mentioned somewhere as an argument against the wheat symbol. Not so convincing to me because the wood's brown is quite in the middle between yellow and red in color space. Also there are a lot of similar problems in 0 A.D.'s iconography. Docks, Barracks, Storehouse icons are hard to distinguish, color-wise. I still need to read tooltip distinguishing FIeld from Farmstead etc

scr0llbaer
Icon styles in computing history went from simple to rich in gradients and effects (Windows XP and the like, "because we can") back to simple, but now with a lot of perception psychology knowledge put into them. Most 0 A.D. icons are very 1990s, even 1980s-ish.
