fabio
All content submitted MUST be submitted under the Creative Commons license (any except No Derivatives) GNU GPL v2 or higher.Note that NC licenses are also not compatible with Debian. Best would be to require only CC-BY-SA v3.0+ which is compatible and already used by 0 A.D. itself. Edited March 1, 2011 by fabio
Almin
About the license! I wanted to remember that there was also a discussion about that topic in the thread of the Eastern Mod:http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14075&st=0 Edited March 1, 2011 by Almin
asmartgoat
<comicalxmltag> <flameshield>CC BY SA is essentially the same as GNU GPL v2. </flameshield> </comicalxmltag>CC-BY-SAseems to be the best one. I'd rather people use the gpl, but CC is very comparable. Edited March 2, 2011 by asmartgoat
fabio
I'd rather people use the gpl, but CC is very comparable. You may also dual license new content with CC-BY-SA 3.0+ and GPLv3+ (so that other GPL-content games car reuse it). However you can't do this with content derived from 0 A.D. because it's only CC-BY-SA.
asmartgoat
Maybe we need a license expert xD,anyway, that can be sorted on a case by case basis. Some progress: Arabian Nights map is coming along well.
