Jeru
Sorry about the lack of updates, folks; We've been hard at work adding features for the next alpha version, from formations to a Savanna biome. We hope this giraffe screenshot compensates for the wait:More screenshots have been uploaded to our ModDB (or IndieDB) profile. Check them out! Edited September 24, 2010 by Mythos_Ruler
k776
Looking nice. It's a shame, when I tried out the latest source a few days ago, that they don't really walk, they just glide along the terrain without leg movement. Any chance of having them like the gazzele or horses, and actually have realistic leg movement?
Shield Bearer
not if we get some good animators, who are really scarce

Mythos_Ruler
Decent animators are worth their weight in gold.
WhiteTreePaladin
Yeah, anyone can animate. Even I can. I'm just not very good at it. (Maybe I should put some more time into it. I did buy a Blender book on animation awhile back.)

wrut
It would be hard to create a realistic animation of these gorgeous creatures. Their movement is very unique.
Aldandil
But even a lousy animation is better than none.

maxrpowell
Hmm... Over all a decent screen-shot. I can't wait for the final release. I have tested the alpha and some pre-alpha versions. I really like where this is headed. With the screenshots I see a couple things off -- The dirt texture in the bottom left corner is off a little bit, it gives a distorted 3D illusion. Whoever is animating the animals is doing great.
