  1. The thing is that installer needs around 1,5-2 GB of free space on the C disk (in Windows case), even if you are installing it on another disk which has plenty of space. Public.zip is being extracted to Temp folder and then its content copied to the installation folder. So, if you have low disk space on C, you will get this error too. I understand, that this must be a nature of many installers and extractors for Windows, to use temporary folder for extraction, but maybe it is possible to tune it to use the destination folder for extraction. This will probably also increase the installation speed (no need to copy things from one place to another). This can be observed by watching how free disk space changes in C and in the destination drive during the installation.
  2. Once in a few years maybe. Actually i use Paypal mostly for donations to various projects. Press a button, Login, Done. If having two systems will be too cumbersome to manage, then maybe Wildfire should stick with SPI, but maybe i'm not the only one put off by this. Paypal is more popular, i think. Also, if fewer systems have info about your card, more secure this info is (in the wake of numerous credit card info leaks form the big companies and banks).
  3. Well, this means i won't donate anymore. Not that i was a huge donator, but i'm not willing to go through different systems every time i want to donate to some project. Paypal is enough for me.

  5. It would be hard to create a realistic animation of these gorgeous creatures. Their movement is very unique.

  7. I wanted to mention SC2 too They are going for tried and tested formula. Though maybe it is more oriented for hardcore multitasking gamers? I think someone is dramatizing this situation too much. Every RTS type has its niche. Total War excels at what it is supposed for (global logistics and massive tactical battles). It wasn't intended as a replacement for classic RTS. They were searching for new ideas. Why? Because there was a need for that. I always was a fan of classic RTS, but i liked the idea of Shogun very much. And i liked original Dawn of War, though it is more squad management and combat oriented RTS, but it has enough multitasking:)
  8. Regular releases with installer or just zipped binaries would be great. Though it is not so hard to compile it youself, even for not a programmer, like myself
  9. I have tried sim2 yesterday. Yes, it lacks some things (like animations and some functionality, like selection dragging), but at least pathfinding is quicker
  10. Ok. So i'll wait for the new simulation system When will it possibly can be out? Or maybe you can tell what changes in the svn should indicate, that simulation system has been changed (probably lots of changes)?
  11. I have just built 0AD with VC2008 Express on my XP SP3, svn was 7296 when i built it, when i have updated to 7297, but didnt built anything. SVN update log contained some binaries, so i'm not sure if i'm still using build ones or from svn. The problem i have is that sometimes when i want to drag a selection with left mouse button it instead rotates camera. Usually i have to left click once to stop it doing so. Also, is there any shortcut for camera reset? Sometimes it is not possible to get back to default view. XP SP3 Athlon X2 4200+ with DualCore optimizer patch Nvidia 9800GT latest Forceware
  12. Moving this from general forum as feneur advised. I have just built 0AD with VC2008 Express on my XP SP3, svn was 7296 when i built it, when i have updated to 7297, but didnt built anything. SVN update log contained some binaries, so i'm not sure if i'm still using build ones or from svn. The problem i has, that in my games units can't be killed. They either do no damage or just one unit receives damage till zero health, but keeps fighting. I have tried default Latium map and Oasis. What other information can i provide?   13. Sorry for bumping in your post, but i can't find anything related to my issue in the forums and this is fairly recent post from someone testing the game. I have just checked out the svn and built it with VC2008 express on my XP SP3. It runs. I have also noticed problems with pathfinding and it also pauses a bit if i click to go somewhere far away (Athlon X2 4200+ btw). I know it is not even alpha, but it seems you are able to play it. The problem i have, that units can't be killed. They either do no damage at all, or health bar goes to ~1% and stops. Wonder do you (or anyone else) had similar problem.
